    youre right we would be lucky to get 3 million.but thats what i think hes worth.thats not a lot of money for a championship team or a bit part player at a team like leceister.

    think we should have got a good bit more for matthews and ledley even though there contracts were running down.

    For those who are in love.....
    It's looked obvious for a while that he wasn't in Ronny's plans. Last night just confirmed it without doubt for him and Scepovic, that they are surplus..

    I'm pleased we are trimming the squad down but I'd have rather had players like stokes making up the numbers. We have to trust Ronny though, and I do. Hopefully he has his eye on better talent to come in as by the looks of it we're gonna have 2 strikers on the books with one out for a number of domestic games..

    because A source close to Celtic confirmed to HITC Sport:"Stokes is not in the manager's plans, he will be moved on and he will no doubt be pleased to get regular first-team football."

    I dont know what close to Celtic means but it seems to be enough to confirm things for HITC so it should be enough for us gullible readers:smiley-laughing002:

    He's not cut it since Hooper left and doesn't look like he'll ever be a good enough player for us anymore.

    It'll seem strange to see him leave but it's best for both parties. Well, Stokes will likely be gutted but maybe he can move on and be a big name for another club.

    Since Hooper left he has 29 goals and 27 assists in 84 games. About 25 of those games played on the left.

    He's also assisted 5 goals in his last 19 European games against Cliftonville, Shakhter Karagandy, Astra and Dinamo Zagreb as well as won the penalty we scored to beat Ajax, so some would say 6 assists in his last 19 European games, not bad for a Celtic player.

    Since Hooper left he has 27 goals and 18 assists in his last 54 League games.

    In his last 60 League games in total he has 30 goals and 20 assists.

    2012/13: 6 Games 3 Goals 2 Assists
    2013/14: 33 Games 20 Goals 11 Assists
    2014/15: 21 Games 7 Goals 7 Assists

    Good player for us scored a lot of goals in the league and did well on the wing last year. Think hes useful as a squad player but maybe his off field antics and the fact he would only be a squad player means he just not worth the hassle. Always liked him playing as a second striker though him and hooper or him and griffiths looked good partnerships.
