    I was shocked to see him playing up front. Griffiths and Guidetti should always start ahead of him as should Scepovic.

    He shouldn't get a game until he moves his lazy * onside.

    I reckon he was maybe trying Stokes to see if we need a striker in the summer? I could be completely wrong obviously. With it looking like Guidetti will be moving on and him not really fancying Scep he was maybe just seeing if he could play that role. His thinking could have been, he's not really needed for the left anymore, with Armstrong and GMS coming in, so give him a shot up top.

    No harm done anyway, we won, Aberdeen have dropped points. Is it a bit early to start flying the flag?

    It was just hyperbole :50: This experiment has been done and failed on many occasions and it just caught me by surprise when the team was announced yesterday. That he would still feel the need to try Stokes up front on his own when we have strikers and wingers on the bench... He's leading us to a Treble so what do I know or care!

    I love this Stokes "is no good enough *", while we have players like Pukki,Balde,Bo Derek,Tonev,Wakaso all on the books making a wage for * all.
    But you know what,ye Stokes sucks,rips ma * knitting.

    He'll be even more down the pecking order after the summer, with Ronny seemingly looking to strenghten the wide areas.

    Think he will move on in the summer as he's good enough to want to start games at this stage of his career. Not a longterm option for Ronny and can't see Stokesy wanting to be just a squad player.

    Feel his time at Celtic is coming to an end.

    On trial today in Dublin today for that bar brawl a couple of years ago - probably explains why he wasn't in the squad

    THE trial of Celtic star Anthony Stokes for an alleged assault on an Elvis impersonator has been adjourned.

    Lawyers for the striker said they were ready to proceed with the hearing into an alleged incident in Dublin on June 8 2013.

    Judge Patricia Ryan, at Dublin's Circuit Criminal Court, said she would put the case back for mention before the same court tomorrow.

    But she said she could not guarantee that it would proceed then.

    It is expected the trial will take two days.

    The Ireland and Celtic player was in court, dressed in a white shirt, blue tie and grey suit, for the brief hearing.

    He has been remanded on bail since last year.

    Dubliner Stokes, 26, with an address at Bellhaven Terrace, Glasgow, was arrested by appointment and charged with assault causing harm to Anthony Bradley, 42, at Buck Whaley's nightclub on Leeson Street, Dublin.

    The foreign media should really not report it in fairness. In Ireland though it is common to have your address and more personal details published after being up in court
