He played that role against Motherwell at the weekend and he was absolutely awful.

Said it before and I'll say it again but if he gets found guilty in anyway next month of assault whether that be a sentence, community service or a fine I'd tear up his contract as he'd be a convicted thug. Same goes for Tonev if found guilty of being racist and likewise Griffiths which the case is still on going I think. If all found guilty tear up their contracts and send Tonev back to Villa in an instant.

Making it over the long term they probably did but most of them went through periods when they should have been dropped but kept starting because they were all best friends.

Surely I don't even need to qualify my post? Surely you know of plenty "home nations" players that never made it under Lenny, some who never even got a look in?

    Surely?

Hes worse in the commons role than ge is as the lone striker hes preferred position playing just off the main striker no longer exists under this manager.so now hes either to far away from the goals or to close to them.

im just saying stokes got to play because he was friends with him off the pitch. Most of the home nations player justified their position on the pitch but stokes in the last season didnt he got to play when he was going 8 games without a goal when the unproven balde didn't get a look in same with pukki but he was worse in the chance lennon gave him.

You're at the wind up right? :smiley-laughing002:

There is a list as long as your arm of all the Scottish and Irish players to fail under Lenny.

In this new system under Ronny the Commons role is supporting the striker.

No im not stpkes got to play because he was a friend nota good player. The list of irish and scots
Failing would be alot shorter than the ones that succeeded. Mcginn is the only one that comes to mind tha failed to make an impression m

Commons role has not changed. Commons is still an attacking midfielder.

Every player in world football will be given stick if he is performing below par. Some of our support see it as "bashing" or using the player as a "scapegoat". It's not that at all, it's simply, players being criticised for not playing to a level that we know they are capable of.

So Paddy McCourt, Darren O'Dea, Daryl Murphy and co were all amazing successes?
