Martin O'Neill is yet another LEGEND that has left the club after givin the hoops 5 grand years to look back on, i would like to thank Martin O'Neill for gettin us to where we are now!!

thankz for that link celticmad aww * today was another emotional day for celtic fans well to me it was very emotional,as our MON stepped down as celtic manager.im going to miss o'neill sooo sooo much,i love the man! hes given celtic 5 fantastic years,no doubt about it.its sad that hes leaving,but he has given us unbelievable memories,when i think back on MON's career i will always smile&be filled with joy&pride.i understand completley his reasons for leaving&the reason just shows what a great man he is,i wish him&his family all the very very best with everything&i really hope his wife gets better. o'neill has become a true celtic legend&rightfully so,thank you MON soo soo much,you will be truly missed. losing the league now,doesnt for me compare to losing martin o'neill.HAIL HAIL MON,THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 5 FANTASTIC YEARS&I WISH YOU&YOUR FAMILY ALL THE VERY BEST XOX YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE! i have read sumwhere that he is takein 12months away from football, BUT GS is only on a 12 month contract, i have a weird feelin that we could be seein Martin back at the club and back in the management at Celtic fc, i don't thin GS is goin to deliver the goods to Celtic, i hope that Martin will be back at the club in a few seasons time, maybe he can get us the treble and the champions league / uefa cup

 

yeh on sky sports it was saying along the bottom of the screen that strachan is on a 12month rolling contract&that MON is only taking a year out.so yeh ye never know he could be back way celtic,personally i would love him to come back,i know quite a few supporters would like a change&think its time to move on,but id like o'neill to come back,really do not have a clue if he will be back to manage celtic.

 

i hope to see Martin back at the club in a few seasons time

GS has got just about as big a task as anyone wearing the number 7 after Henke.

 

If MON ever returns as Celtic manager I'll become the new Pele.

Honestly, he's leaving, he's gone that is it, he will never be back. When asked this question today, he didn't even answer the question, done his usual, talk for 5 hours round about the question and still not answer.

 

Totally agree Melissa - even though the circumstances are totsally understandable that MON is leaving just now - he is gone for good. Fate has allowed him to make a clean and untarnished exit from CP and * willing - upon Geraldines recovery - we will see MON at a club down south

 

Wouldnt want him back anyway...

Never works out second time around and he had done all he could at CP anyway...

Aye it's over, he is practically in the history books now. Im thankful for what he achieved here, but he is away now, and we must look froward, and to what Gordon can bring. At least if he's *, your gauranteed a laugh at press conferences

 

MON is def not going back. he says he considered it,but says it wouldnt be fair to ask starchan to leave just coz he wants to come back. although he does want to come back to football at some stage. awww im really gonne miss our irish rover wish him and his family all the best,as i says in another post. its been a sad week.

 

not answering a question, lol, thats so unlike mon!! i agree i dont think he'll b back 2 celtic, but def 2 other clubs. if he does come back then i'll welcome it, along with some changes

 

yeh but hes not coming back. he said himsel that he considered it,but then decided it wouldnt be fair to just say to strachan he has to go coz he wants his old job back. so our wee MON will definitly not be back.
