    Here are a few photos and a quick report from last night.

    Union start their season a week on Sunday and although clearly much fitter, this was still a surprising result for the locals.

    I used to think that too,and always call it a union flag now,but apparently it's untrue.

    Good result for Union Berlin,they'll take some confidence from that I'm sure.

    I don't hear any other nation have a tantrum about the British flag whenever it's waved.

    Really annoys me how Irish people think everyone should respect their views while they * over everyone else's.

    'It is often stated that the Union Flag should only be described as the Union Jack when flown in the bows of a warship, but this is a relatively recent idea. From early in its life the Admiralty itself frequently referred to the flag as the Union Jack, whatever its use, and in 1902 an Admiralty Circular announced that Their Lordships had decided that either name could be used officially. Such use was given Parliamentary approval in 1908 when it was stated that “the Union Jack should be regarded as the National flag'.
