Don't give a flying * who he goes to. He can go to the moon for all I care, as long as we get the dosh we want.

QPR would be a massive mistake for him imo, if he was to go to QPR it would come across to me as a player that is more motivated by money rather than playing his career at the top level (Champions League), thats assuming we qualify which im quietly confident we will. I would be happy for him to stay but he must sign a contract otherwise we cash in on him before its too late.

Great goalscorer. Very sad to see him leave to be brutally honest with you.

A hard one to replace. However, i'd be very sad if the scouting network hasn't got a shortlist ready to pull the trigger on - Hooper re-signing debacle has been going on for * long enough, put it that way.

A lot of lessons to be learned here about selling at peak value. His intentions have been evident for a while so we simply have to have some decent replacements lined up.

Poor show from hooper if he does definitely end up at qpr, dropping down to the championship says a lot about the man that it does our club and status I think...

Was a top player but to leave us even for more money to go to the championship than stay winning trophies and playing in Europe doesn't sit well with me..

If we get 5.5 million and QPR pay scunthorpe the sell on fee then I'll be happy.

I have said this many times but I will say it again. We are not guaranteed Champions League football. If we got punted out of Europe and he moves to the Championship he will be the one playing at a higher level. It is sad but it is true.

19 goals in the SPL hard to replace ? You can talk about his link up play all day but a Celtic striker is paid to score goals. We could get someone in who could score 19 goals pretty easily.

Just had a thought.....if this saga finally comes to an end hopefully Celtic will start to get Ledley and other contacts sorted sharpish. Would hate to see Ledley go in the cheap too

I don't think anyone is THAT concerned about being able to replace his 19 SPL goals, Christ Anthony Stokes would manage that.

It's more about getting a striker that has the calibre to cut it in the likes of CL so that we don't go backwards as a club from last season.

Using his "19 goals in the SPL" as an argue to him not being that good/not that hard to replace is almost trying to use facts against Gary Hooper being a really good all round striker.

He's clearly got nothing to prove "SPL" wise as his record over the last 3 seasons in the league has probably been the best ratio of a Celtic striker in the SPL since Henrik Larsson.

It is alot better than Scott McDonald's in the SPL for us.

Can anyone tell me what Mjallby was saying on his radio interview this morning. Something about Hooper not being in the squad, deciding something.... cjrhcjnsgbhehtw.

Couldn't understand his accent - was too fast aswell.

If he doesn't want to be here, he can go.

Not saying I won't miss him, but no player has ever been bigger than Celtic in our club's history, and no player ever will be.
