Excluding Scotland and Ireland

We apprently have a load of fans across North America but don't we not also have a decent sized fan base in Australia? Think of all the expats etc over the years from Scotland and Ireland.

No where really we have the odd groups of fans every where like a wee supporters club here and there in all different countries

 

There's no real way to know for sure how good it is in each country but as I've came to notice, there's a celtic supporters club in pretty much any major city in the world. We have one here in Phoenix, Arizona. Guy called shamish owns it. Good guy! There was a lot of irish lads here working for dell, the computer company. Think most of them are getting paid aff now from the looks of things though.

But realisticly we need to do better in europe to get people recognising us again. Look what happened last season. We were the underdogs against barca and when barca play, there's gonna be millions and millions of people watching it ..... And everyone loves an underdog. But in order to get that capacity of fans you need a * load of cash or already a massive fan base with rich history (which I think were doing ok with)

Celtic needs to sign an American player though. Rangers picked up a decent amount of fans here based solely on the fact they've had several American players

I don't think any American players would be good in the Celtic team, Tim Howard is passed it, Brad Friedel is passed it, Clint Dempsey is almost passed it, Landon Donovan yet again is almost passed it, Don't get me wrong USA are a good team but not sure if any would be a success at Celtic.

I would have agreed with you on that years ago but america have really progressed since zee german took over. He's been encouraging all the young players to start playing in europe to get that little bit more experience of the game. Its beenn working out not bad from what I've seen. We got an american out on trial at x mas that I was sure we would sign but I guess lennon didn't want to take the chance on him. They do have some good looking youngsters and with a little bit of lennox town down them, they could e great players.
