He's said that consistently, always talking up his abilities. Remember him calling Hooper a 'master'?

I think it must all be a ploy to drive up the price slightly. Hooper seems to have made it clear he won't sign a new deal, and (assuming we keep Stokes) we're pretty well set up front for next year.

Disagree, still think there's hope Hooper could sign an extension. Vic is 100% gone though.

There is a remote possibility that Hooper could sign a new contract/extension and then move on next January/summer. However I still believe it is more probable that he will leave this summer.

I hope so. I don't fancy only having Balde, Watt and Stokes.

Would be very happy if he stayed. Have a feeling that both Hooper & Wanyama will stay.

If they do, and they don't sign new contracts, which seems almost certain, it will be a disaster.

I can see him signing a new contract towards the end of the window personally.

Would love it if hooper stayed. Best striker at the club by a mile. If he leaves we really need to look hard to get someone of his ability for a decent fee

Southampton were rumoured to be willing to offer around £25,000 p/w. I'd guess we must have offered him around £20,000 at least.

I'd happily put him alongside the highest earners at the club.

I really hope we're not counting on that. I'd sell to the first decent offer.

I really don't think we do need another mate, Sammi/Amido can play up top on their own in Europe with the support in Miodfield, I would rather a flair/winger type player to support from the mid. I think for spl games Watt/Amido/Stokes/Sammi and a.n.other as a squad player is more than ample

Towards the end of the season, he did tend to stray away from the traditional two strikers, often deploying Stokes out wide and Commons tucked in behind.

People grossly underestimate the difficulty we would face in replacing Hooper. I hope he signs an extension to his contract, with a massive wage increase, and only in the circumstances where he still rejects his contract would I sell him for £5-6million.

This. There is no way we'll let his contract run down.

Wanyama loves celtic and is just happy thaat we took him in from no where and played him against some of the best teams in the world. Was raging at his agents comments the other day. I think the only reason wanyamas agent advised him to turn down his pay rise and extension a while back was so wanyamas price wouldnt go up , there for its cheaper for the teams that were/are interested in him. Now his agents trying to play it like wanyama has been very loyal to celtic with little pay considering he's a key member. Aye cuz u gave him bad advice ya greedy agent bastart. Now there's apparently problems with him wanting a million bucks out of his move south. * hate agents. Anyway, I think he might stay if no top 4-6 teams come in for him as he knows there's no rush. Still has 2 years on his contract. Personally I think wanyama should be sold if were gonna get 10-15 million for him. We still have a very strong midfield n kayal could shine or bare I say it ... ambrose haha

Hooper on the other hand just wants to leave because him and every other english player wants to go to brazil. Don't think he realises that if he goes to a bottom half EPL team, he might not have as much chances to score when the rest of your team are not creating enough chances like we do for him at celtic. He'd have a better chance making the england squad playing with celtic in the CL.

But again, there's the whole money aspect of it.

If that's true then we should be offering him that without a doubt. We all know how valuable he is to the club, no reason why he should not be in with the top earners. I think Southampton would give him more than that though.

If Hooper isnt going to sign we really should sell. 5 million is just to much to turn down considering we could lose him for nothing.
