My bad, the other points remain though.

I'm not saying we won't sign him, we may do, I'm saying it would be outwith the normal signings Lennon has made and his scouting staff have identified.

Lassad was 26 when we loaned him. I guess the policy is a strategy over most our signings should be, but there will always be room for a something different, like adding a player with experience, or loaning a player that we hope to see the best of.

I quite like the look of him, although his style of play looks pretty much the same as Balde's.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Goal scoring record is impressive overall. Wherever he has been, seemingly.

Richest clubs but playing in Ligue 2 at the time. At 25 and the first major club you play for is in the second division of the french league something isnt right there.

I do think there are better options out there for us, however he does seem to have an eye for goals regardless of where he has been and may just be the striker we are looking for to replace hooper.....time will tell.

I do hate loan deals though

We didnt loan Lassad, he was signed on a 2 year deal and we just decided to let him go a year early to find a new club.

I think we would have signed this guy had we not signed the younger and probably fitter Balde earlier in the month. They seem very similar to me, and no, not in a race sense :icon_mrgreen:

Having said that, a loan until the end of the season would be good, with the option to buy at the end.

Rubbish. It's hard to get attention playing in those leagues, and getting bought by Monaco is no shame at all. They were signing good Ligue 1 players even when they were in Ligue 2.

True. However, the point is that not every signing has to be made in line with our policy of buying young talented players. If we find a good transfer option that doesn't fit it, but still could be worth loaning/buying, then I'd say we should go for it (if we spend limited amount of money). The majority of our signings however will, and should be bought accordingly to our recent transfer policy.

So your a professional footballer who is 27 and the best level of football he has played is Ligue 2 football and you think thats what Celtic should be looking for?

It just doesnt tie in with what we do as a business and so far he hasnt proven himself at the top level although he is in well into his footballing career.

If he was 21/22 this would make sense to me and to what celtic do.

However if we decide to take him I hope he keeps banging them in for us.

Worth a shot on loan with the option to buy. Could be the leading striker we need. With balde and stokes or Sammy on the wings

Tbf none of signings have that much experience at the top.

We target youth with potential but there will always be room for talent at any age at the right price. Lubo shows that your big break can come at any age.

Of what I have seen of him, I would have no hesitation of signing him on loan with an option to buy. Where is the harm?

The facts you have just provided as evidence against us signing him are insufficient. If Park considers him a good enough player, then yes, that is what Celtic should be looking for. Commons had never played above Championship level at 27, and look how he's turned out. You should really watch him before making these judgements.

Park has not scouted him though. Reports all say the player has been offered to us and probably other clubs to take off monaco's hands.

The championship is a good level and players we have all signed from there have done well for us, but this guy has been playing in China half his career, so my 'evidence' and the fact he does not fit in with what celtic aim to do in the transfer marker is shown to be correct.

I am not saying he will not do well here if he does in fact sign, I am saying these are not the players we would be looking at, but rather may take a chance on if offered, the same as Miku who was offered to us and we took him on only to regret it.

I am making a judgement on the facts, whether I watch him or not. By watching him just now I am basing my opinion on youtube videos, which we all know make players look better than they are and when I seen this guys I was as usual impressed.

But again my point is, he is not somebody we would go out of our way to scout or be within our transfer policy model.

You have absolutely no idea as to whether Park has watched him or not. We get agents offering players all the time; the possibility that we may have shown an interest in this particular one suggests that we have been watching him.

Saying that the Championship is a markedly better pool of talent than Ligue 2 is completely ignorant. Almost as ignorant as saying that Toure has played half his career in China, despite him having played there for 18 games.

You said there was clearly 'something not right' with him. That's just bull.

Show me where we have shown interest in this player?

I should have says China and Iran, not just china, neither of those leagues are at a level that we would expect of our players.

There is something not right if a player regarding as a top quality player has only played two seasons at a fairly high competitive level in Ligue 2 of the french league and is 27 years of age

Again my point was that this does not seem in line with our current transfer policy. That is not 'bull'. Its fact.

I never said we had. But on the off chance that we are interested, you have no grounds to say that he is a player of 'questionable' quality - watch him and then make a judgement. I've said all I have to on this.
