    Hiya Folks,

So we all know hard times loom for Celtic and we are well aware MON will most probs be making his exit from Paradise sooner that later... However there have been rumours of Mr Strachan taking the helm, now i know everyone is not happy bout that but cheer yourself up with this set of crackers from the infamouse Gordon Strachan quotes portfolio...

Reporter: There's no negative vibes or negative feelings here?
Strachan: Apart from yourself, we're all quite positive round here. I'm going to whack you over the head with a big stick, down negative man, down.

Reporter: So, Gordon, in what areas do you think Middlesbrough were better than you today?
Strachan: What areas? Mainly that big green one out there...

Strachan: I've got more important things to think about. I've got a yogurt to finish by today, the expiry date is today. That can be my priority rather than Agustin Delgado.

Strachan was on Sky on Sunday morning. He saw John Terry's goal and said he was impressed that Terry goes up expecting to score. He contrasted this to Claus Lundekvam the Saints central defender who goes up for every dead ball and never ever looks remotely like scoring. He said if there was a dead body lying in the penalty area the ball would hit it on the head several times a season which he said is more than Lundekvam can manage. He said referees should book Lundekvam for timewasting every time he goes up for a corner. When the co-commentator said if Lundekvam was watching Strachan was only joking. Strachan assured him he was deadly serious

... now you cant tell me that aint entertainment...

to add his to his classic on liners he is actually a very good manager too.

  3. I don't think he'd be able to manage Celtic, he can be hilarious though.

I think Strachan would be great for us, remember he did sign BBJ and resurrect him before MON and his tactics are always spot on. Also, he doesn't stick with players that are performing like *, unlike MON, ie Douglas, Agathe. And he was a better player than Big *.

TBH i have to throw a red bull in me when MON talks, he can be really boring with his "psychophantic" outlook on things. Strachan would bring humour, but remember why he left football-the Celtic job is one where pressure can be really tough. Will he want to step into a hotseat like that?

don't forget...we need some1 to handle those * at the daily ranger etc. He's got good mediahandling but don't expect him to do a better job than MON.

He got Coventry relegated for the first time in 34 years, and kept a mid-table Southampton side in the mid-table. He then retired to have a hip op (which he still hasn't had) after the pressure got too much at soton? Give me a break. He's not celtic class.

Tommy Burns is hot favourite to be his number 2, because Robertson and Walford are on their way out as well. Think I'll go and slam my head in the oven, this just gets worse and worse. :38:

If he joins you may as well forget 5 years of progress under O'Neill. Back to the dark days of being out of the league and Europe by Christmas. I'm warning you now. He's not cut out for the job.

MON has done a great job for Celtic, but don't forget he inherited the "Chosen One", whom we have struggled without this season. Had Henrik still been in the Hoops this season I'm sure the league would have been won long before Sunday's disaster!! How many chances did we need to beat an average Motherwell side?
If Strachan gets the job, he will have some job before him, and ageing squad and little cash to spend, 15M will not get us 10-12 players that we need! So many donkeys to get rid off, Bellamy and Strachan have previous, but I didn't expect Bellamy to stay longer than his loan period from day one.
