There is 10 Welsh in the squad now.

We should support them no matter which nationality is in team.

In Scottish players were good enough they would be in the team.

New Zealand is a great example of how a small nation can excel in a sport if they put their resources into it. Why can't Scotland be great (or at least good) at football?

Not really a fair way to look at it, we've got sod all competition in rugby relative to the amount of competition Scotland has in Europe alone, let alone world wide, in football.

And yous still can't beat an Aussie side we dismantled twice last year. :bbpd:

It's no secret we're not the greatest team in the world but if it's a Lions team then I expect to see Lions representation. Not a Wales team masquerading as one.

Bring it we'll * you choir boys up! :56:

Have you seen Australia play lately? :smiley-laughing002:

With current demographic trends the way that they are, Australia's next generation of Union players is going to be made up of a large PI crop. They can't all play League, after all.

The best players for the job should start. I'd of picked Cuthbert and Tipuric as well, and Warb wouldve been playing if fit.

Not sure about Cuthbert mate but not picking Tipuric is just as big of a travesty as not picking O'Driscoll

this lions thing is only a media driven marketing scam and all the sheep that follow it are even worse. rugby is an absolute rubbish game to start with. I cant believe the outcry in Ireland over o driscoll getting dropped, he had been * the whole tour, is he immune to being dropped or something? its the managers prerogative who he picks whether that be right or wrong. o driscoll has made a lot of money from the game and im sure he'll make even more when he retires.
I came so close to deleting my facebook account today with the amount of "Justice for o driscoll" etc pages going around. this is from people who have never been at a rugby game in their lives. rugby in Ireland is a real celtic tiger fad and it and those who support it turn my stomach and are just a horrible reminder of the type of twats our country has spawned.

This view is often shouted by football fans, as if being a fan of both sports is criminal.

The poshness of Rugby is a British/Irish thing, much like Tennis. I played and I can assure you the team wasn't posh. It's a fun game. Football could learn something from it imo.

But yeh, in this country it is full of pompous twats with an over-inflated opinion of their own physical ability. It's got a strange clique of players who are mainly unathletic, upper class white kids. Obviously thats not the case at the top level though.

I will give you that it is the main sport in posh schools (or certainly it is here in the west country, where Millfield, Colston etc churn out inernationals for fun.
But trust me, there are loads of rugby clubs in Bristol, and most of them are very much working class. Then there are clubs like Southmead, Avonmouth and my own club Dings that would consider a night out down the Gallowgate as a bit upmarket!

I dont know so much about in England, but the majority of clubs in Ireland that i know of are for the higher classes.
Rugby people in Ireland always looked down on the GAA thats why most non-posh people in Ireland have very little time for it.

Not taking away from the sport, i enjoy watching it and i dont think i would have the balls to step on a Rugby field myself..
