Funny watching MOTD tonight and seeing Sherwood saying Liverpool won't win the league because they concede too many goals, this season Liverpool 9 Spurs 0 haha

Really.....he said that? What a *. They are only 3 goals behind ManCity in goal difference now, and 11 ahead of the team with the 3rd best GD.

Liverpool do concede a fair amount more goals than their nearest rivals, but I don't think it will be of a huge concern due to the fact they score so much. Their strength going forward is frightening, they can afford to have a square shoot out with near enough anyone just now such is their power going forward.

Start of this season who would of thought liverpool genuinely challenging for the title with all the man city, chelsea spending. Fantastic, hope they win it over the billionaires play toys.

Was just having a good chat with a Liverpool fan in the gym before he said the Man City game is there biggest since Istanbul in 2005, there's a arrogance about Liverpool fans at the minute I generally think they'll be disappointed not to win the league when in fact there main target was top 4 so finishing 2nd or 3rd should be celebrated

To be fair, with the way they've been playing, they have every right to be confident.

It's arrogance to think that the Man City game is there biggest since Istanbul? Don't think that is arrogance at all, that is sensible. They would have every right to be both disappointed and proud of finishing 2nd this season. Especially with the type of football they've been playing, it's been magnificent to watch.

Not that anyone really cares :56:

But....Massive game for Sunderland tonight, 'must win' has been over-used this season and on each occasion we've * it up, big style!

Hope to see this formation tonight with this team....

    Mannone

    Bardo - O'Shea - Brown - Colback

    Cattermole - Bridcutt - Ki

    Wickham -----------------Johnson

    Borini

Need to play Borini up top through the middle but no doubt we'll play the invisible man (Larsson) and Jozey's-not-to-score up front, who has set our team on fire with he's prolific 1 goal this season.

Nolan and Caroll will cause us massive threats, especially from set pieces so we've got to be up for the task, personally, we've struggled at home against pretty much every team and West Ham will frustrate us and probably nick a point.

Going to be freezing my bollicks off so at least hope Guy goes for this game and Borini NEEDS to play through middle.

Altidore is one of the worst strikers I have ever seen mate, he really is that bad.

I've seen Killen, Bangura and Rasmussen who have been pretty woeful for Celtic, Kevin Kyle, Andy Gray and Jon Stead for Sunderland, but...Altidore is something else.

He just offers nothing, he's a big tank of a man but has the strength and heart of my Nana, literally touch him and he goes flying, he can't hold it up, when we go long to Altidore (Those who are watching on Sky tonight look out for this) He doesn't compete for the ball, he'll wait for it to drop and then attack it? (This drives us nuts, the roar of fury from the crowd when he does this is worse than coneding a penatly) So basically he's Giving the defender the chance to A) Win the inital header or B) Simply put their body in the way and shield it, he has a odd burst of pace but runs into the corner rather than at defenders, he really is awful! Think O'Shea and Brown who are both defenders were better odds than him to score v Liverpool on Monday with Paddy Power, says it all.

I defended him for the first 6 months but I've given up hope unfortunately.

So aye King, cue the altidore hatrick! :56:

Hes the American Heskey except Heskey actually scored the odd goal and held the ball fairly well.

He says that it's their biggest game since 2005 despite being in the European Cup final in 2007?

Cheers King mate, massive like, huge, HUGE game for Sunderland.

We're a bit of laughing stock really....These are the strikers at our disposal who are supposed to keep us up.

    • Altidore - 1 Goal all season and has zero threat to the opposition
    • Scocco - 4m we shelled out for him, he's made little impact scoring 0 goals (Not given too many chances) but early signs suggesting he could be yet another dud for us.
    • Fletcher - Injured and could miss rest of season, apparently has a drink problem who Sunderland are helping him through (We are paying for a counselling course, you couldn't make it up).
    • Borini - Not our player, excellent contribution this season but has publicly admitted he wants to return to Liverpool and fight for his place, unlikely to be here past May even if we stay up.
Basically, we've got an Alco, Cart Horse, foreign dud and a player who see's his future away from us to fire us to safety.

    What can do wrong?

As you can tell I'm less than confident, but win tonight and we have a chance, Ha'way the lads! Into these Cockney twats.

I like Ole Solskjaer but I really don't like Cardiff. Hope they go down.

Aye likeable character but probably not a manager, similar to Zola and Di Canio(except maybe the likeable part) seem to friendly/mental(Di Canio) to be managers, coaches at best.

    Cheers buddy! :50:

For me, it's Fulham (Gone), Cardiff and then between us and West Brom.

I just don't think we'll have enough to survive, win tonight gives us hope like.
