All dates back to the plantation of Ulster. Scots went there from Fife,Ayrshire and the borders mainly.Brought with them Scots and the Presbyterianism.

Think Americans refer to them as Scotch-Irish

Jeezo man, 19? How many books have you read in your time? I honestly just give up reading your posts, no one speaks like that and it is really infuriating to try and understand your pretentious waffling... I'm just too thick!:52:

Throwing stones from glass houses springs to mind. You call yourself a grammar pedant, and yet show a flagrant inability to punctuate your sentences.

"I only apply my pedantry to my own posts, I'm no grammar *, I wouldn't dream of pulling another person up on their grammar, save as an aside or quip in the context of a discussion concerning the topic."

:56: Please learn to use commas properly.

Not sure if its been mentioned and hate saying it but.....Ronald De Boer?

Fantastic player at Ajax, which ultimately warranted a move to Barcelona. However he was absolute dross their due to injuries and he never really recovered after that. Which is evident because he became a mercenary and went to Hun Fc over Man United....for an extra £5k a week :56:

This thread has become childish and petty.

Anyway, Chris Kirkland had the makings of a good goalkeeper once. His career has been ravaged by injury
