Wanyama is as far from 'Mercurial' as anyone could be. As for the rest, the author should apply for a job with the Record, but beofre he does, my mate's cousin is Wanyama's foot masseuse and she says that big Vic loves the club and is staying.

I have a soft spot for almost all our ex players, unless they slag off the club or are complete * like Burley. Victor Wanyama has brought me a lot of pleasure this last two years, an awful lot of pleasure and I've come to feel a real affection for him. Everyone is different, but I can't just switch that on and off like a light switch, so yes, I do care where he goes. Celtic is far more important, which is why I think we should sell (for his career I honestly think the best thing would be for him to stay here another year as he still has things to learn here) rather than let his contract run down; but I really want to see this boy go on to reach his potential, which is to be the best defensive midfielder of his generation and so don't want to see him wasted at a small club like Stoke or sitting on the bench at Man Utd. Like I say, I think Arsenal would be perfect for him, though we should have a sell on clause and preferably a clause saying he can't play us should we meet Arsenal in the CL.

That's what I think too. No one's bigger than the club, but £25k a week isn't outwith our reach, I'd imagine, and he's probably our best player.

Honestly out of wanyama, hooper and forster, i'd rather keep ahold of hooper and forster more than wanyama as we already have a very strong midfield and kayal will be able to shine again.

Forster will be impossible to replace on a shoe string budget. In my opinion, forster was the main reason we did so well against barca. If we didn't have a top class keeper that campain, we could have been beaten in both barca games. He still has 3 years on his contract which is good and lennon said "he's not going anywhere this season" I hope they're not serious about replacing him with shay given.

Hooper is a great stiker all round (apart from in the air) he's fast, links up well and is a great finisher. I think our great midfield has a lot to do with his goal tally though. He could be replaced, won't be that easy but it would be easier than trying to replace fraser forster. Imo anyway

Two things, there's no point offering him super high wages, if we have been expecting a huge bid to come in. But, if we want to keep a guy who's our most sellable asset, he realistically needs to be on a par with the highest earners.

Depends on the long term plans. We knew the likelihood of a bid coming in for Wanyama that would be too hard to refuse, so we'll have a replacement in mind the minute he gets sold.

I'm sure we have a backup plan for this. Especially if bids for over £9million have been coming in from the likes of Stoke. Mark Hughes is superb at getting teams relegated.
I think a move to London and the deal is done very quickly. Arsenal or West Ham, possibly even Chelsea.
