Danny Mcgrain has him out at half time nearly every game throwing the ball to him so he can work on his first touch, it's doesn't look like it's doing much good.

I remember watching the first footage of him in training and people were saying similar sort of things. Bambi on ice etc. This was before he even kicked a ball for Celtic. I don't understand what we were thinking when we signed him.

He also can't seem to anticpate where the ball is going either. He was really poor last night. And I really want him to do well!!!Even the commentaors on BT Sports were feeling sorry for him!

Im pretty sure Hooper left because he wanted to be one of the highest paid players in the team,Pukki and Baldes wages combined would of been more than Hoopers wages. Madness.

Sadly he is just not good enough. If we try and sell him we will get next to nothing for him. So I think we are best loaning him out to someone (no idea who will take him), then trying to offload him to that club.

The lad just hasn't got it.

I just posted that I held Lennon accountable for signing him in the first place .
The most encouraging thing Lennon could have said was that he was a project .

Honesty Balde isn't and will never be a footballer , last night removed all doubt

Long term he isn't a Celtic striker.

Funnily enough commentator made an interesting point last night in that Celtic have struggled to utilise a big target man striker over the last few years due to the way the team is set up. I tend to agree...not the fault of the tactics but it's certainly not set up to accommodate such a player. Fortuné came onto a good game towards the end of his short celtic career but by then it was too late.

Regardless, Balde has zero confidence and just not quite with it. That or he just wants out.

Doubt he'll be here next season. Wonder who scouted him ?

I think a player like Balde you load up the box, get the ball out wide and look for good delivery into the box. It's daft to have a target man and the long ball is coming from defense, it should be getting worked down the channel a lot quicker and really there isn't great delivery from the right.

From the left we're ok, but the quality could be a lot better down that side too.

Otherwise you say you want a target man, but you don't set it up correctly counter attacking down the channels.

Obviously we want to make money from selling players on, but if you put too many variables in place it's made a lot harder to do. We all knew about players like Griffiths, Russell etc. But the pretty much guaranteed goals they would bring was not as important as finding the next £10million player.

I hear similar noises coming from Lennon and the worry for me is, they don't go with the sure fire bet. Right now i'm watching Johnny Russell setting up a goal for Derby County looking at getting to the Premiership. That's the signing we all wanted. It's a bit of a joke that this amazing scouting network found a guy who can barely control the ball and didn't trust that Dundee United were capable of producing players who could adapt to a higher level very easily.

Good players are passing us by, all so that we can sell players on. It's time they stopped mincing around.

People will say well we got Van Dijk, but the truth is anybody could have went and looked around Dutch internet forums and found out that Ajax were considering signing him, Feyonoord and more closely PSV.

This is the same network who signed Mouyokolo. So it's always quite exaggerated how wonderful this scouting network is.

Lenny should pick his own men and he needs to be realistic about it. He needs to go with his gut instinct and i think that's what will happen.

Its hard to see how you could criticise Mouyokolo who really hadn't got time to settle in before he sustained an injury , different than any other injury, and left him out injured for nearly the season .

he never looks like winning a header. he looks like he'll smash his face off the back of the defenders head. when he jumps for a long ball he cant judge it and ends up on his *

He actually wins a lot in the air, we just prefer to play the ball on the floor. Especially the other night, we were playing the ball to Balde out wide where he was getting isolated and trying to take on 2 or 3 players.

Amazing how one game can change people's view completely, people have bad games, one game isn't giving him a chance.

If that was the case he would never have got this far.

I'm baffled as to why he has got this far judging from what I've seen up until now
