Amido Balde

Not sure what I think of him just yet. It isn't overwhelmingly positive (as a striker), anyway and I have a weird felling about him.

Hope I'm proved wrong and the guy turns out to be a slow burner, like Zurawski - although he was the slowest burner - ever!

And I know we haven't saw much of him to make a full assessment but.....

He hasn't played any yet though has he. 15 mins vs Cliftonvile maybe. Do you think he just isn't trying in friendlies is that it?

 

Most of them have done it for us in the past though so we can reasonably expect them to do it again. We can't be sure Balde is gonna come good.

 

I think it's fitness he's trying to improve atm. We will see what he can do in the future though.

 

We should give him the no.7 shirt

Hadn't realised that @ 22 he has only been playing @ Senior level for 3 years. So after Celtic pay 2% of the value Real Madrid have put on Gareth Bale, this big Portuguese Lad leaves home and travels thousands of miles to a different Country with a different way of life, to find out that many 'experts' have made an instant decision and don't think he is up to much. What a welcome! Hope he will have the chance to develop by both fans and Club.

How can you possibly say that after his minutes of game time in the hoops and a few youtube videos. Touch is no where near good enough to be a creative midfielder, the guy doesn't even look comfy on the ball tbh.

You're strictly not allowed to speak one bit of English to do that job at Parkhead.

Think this guy's got a bit of Fortune about him. Not only in the way he plays, which I think is a wee bit similar, but the fact he seems to be a scapegoat for the fans. And in his early days, that's not fair.

And by the by, I rated Fortune, and was gutted when he was sold.

 

You can sometimes tell a donkey at first glace, like bangura, du wei and yon zoomer that ended up playing in the world cup final for Holland braafheid.

 

If you're going to go down that route, I'm going to have to pull out the Henrik Larsson card. To say he had a bad start in the Hoops is an understatement.

 

'IF' Balde scores 5 goals by January which isnt that difficult in the SPL i'll be amazed
