I hear Beasley hit the bar when he had an open goal to aim at - he'll fit in well at Mordor :50:

Verygood final both teams gave it their best, and it could have gone either way, what a crowd at Soldier Field Chicago, packed, bet 75% were Mexican supporters, yes Beasley although I thought he played good he IS a lightweight and missed an open goal as I have mentioned before let Rangers have him!
This game will help USA interest in the game, which is growing. :50:

    FEILHABER's winning goal.

    The mexicans are amazing...

    Their manager.

"Sometimes the team that plays better doesn't always win." -Hugo Sanchez

They havent beat us in the US since the 90s. And they have 75% of support for the games in the US. So they arent home games.

Im sorry but what is the point of this tournament when in a few days Mexico play Brazil and you play Argentina.

I understand you are both invitees but lets be honest just get invited every four years and play in a proper tournament that are going to have more than two teams that are capable of competing with the best.

Because we arent in that federation are we? Nope. We are just invited to play in Copa. Blame fifa for having all of US in a North America and Carribean one not us. Now we get to play in the Confederation Cup. :50:

You were down to 10 men and we scored in stoppage time to tie it, it was clearly onside anyway you look at it. We wouldve won in extra time.

Someone got this off of the FIFA website

"According to FIFA's Laws of the Game, the only instance described regarding a player in an offside position that rebounds or is deflected off of an opposing player is ruled OFFSIDE!

I think the mounties were getting this rule confused with an instance where an opponent has possession of the ball and passes back to an attacker in an offside position. Then he would have been okay. But, seeing as Gooch never had possession of the ball, it is considered a deflection an, therefore, the goal was correctly ruled out."

It was a deflection though. You know that kind of * happens in football * about it does nothing.

Conmebol has 10 countries and Concacaf has 40 members why you coant compete together is a total mystery to me. Uefa has 53 which shows you that a number that high produces a much more interesting tournament and qualifiers.

Also how you have 40 teams in your zone amazes me. Why out of curiosity does the Caribbean not contest as the West Indies like the do in cricket.

You need that level of tournament all the time. You talk about the fact you have that great record over Mexico but they are the one with the great record over Brazil in recent years.

Because each nation wants their own team. Its simple. That kind of backwards logic would mean Scotland should play with Wales and England on a Great Britain squad. :38:

Just a suggestion, I wouldnt say its backwards thinking as the West Indies are a close nit community they are more than happy to play with a cricket team.

To compare it to the UK as short-sighted, lets start with the fact the countries in the Caribbean don't have the same hatred that its within the UK. Scotland, Wales and NI don't need to join with England to qualify for a major event (they will qualify sooner or later). So for the rest of eternity whilst concacaf still get 3/4 teams basically USA and Mexico get a bye and out of 38 teams either 1 or 2 teams get the chance to represent the continent?

Still doesn't answer the point to why both the USA and Mexico want to stay in a tournament that does nothing for each country. Australia have moved federations for two obvious reasons, one so they don't have to play Uruguay every four years to get in to the WC and two so they can actually play in a continental tournament that has more than two teams that will win it.
