Right okay, we have the safe hands of Boruc so we don't need a new goalie.

In defense, Naylor and Wilson will do the job with Doumbe as a back up/

McManus, Kennedy, O'Dea, Galdwell....we could use another proven, quality defender.

Midfield - Naka, McGeady, Riordan, Hartley, Brown, JJ and Tom G....but only Sno is a defensive midfielder...

Upfront - JVOH is a perfect target man but we need someone who can score so Miller, Beattie, Majic ain't good enough

Targets: Joey Barton, I think he's the best option to fill our defensive mid gap....or even bring back Petrov?

As for upfront....I realy don't know, McDonald will do the job in the SPL but we need a quality striker

If we get those, IMO, all we need is an ace centre back.....that's another puzzler....

Not 2 sure if we need another CB i think a fit JFK could get back to his best and Odea performs great on the big stage so if he could the same every match we would have defence covered and i would put doumbe right bk as wilson dosnt fit for me there
Would love to Apphia com that seems out the window and as a striker would like to see frei/bellers( seems unrealistic now)

 

i dont know how you can complain about needing another centre half Mcmanus Kennedy will be a great centre partnering with odea as back up

In the midfeild i would have sno holding & try to sign an attacking midfeilder as sno has proved he will become a great Celt & use bjarnasson as back up

i dont think we need another centre back. altho the centre back will be very young two 24 years olds, a 23 year olds and 20 year old. they are all still learning but it bodes will for the future, id rather have young bhoys than the likes of bobo balde, varga etc, u get my drift. also if we get rid of pressley, celtic could have a team that doesnt have a player in older than 27/28 and who wood have ever thought that wood have happened three years back when we had the likes of, hartson, sutton, thompson etc. i would love another midfielder, i think this will help hartley improve his game, because remember hartley has had no sustained challenge for his posistion, but if the likes of barton or koumas come in he'lll know he has to give everything to retain his jersey. sno and bjarsson are wee gems for the future and should be used sparingly in order to build them intot he team. i would like to see a striker of champs league class, whether thats bellers or not i dont know, but there arent really many better around right now. wee mcdonald will do well, and hes another young won who bodes well for the future. if celtic get all there targets they have the potential of having one of the best young teams around and that is only good, as they can last around 5/6 years together and they will alll reach there peaks at the same time which is good. hail hail

I dnt fink they are the answer to the defensive midfield problem, they are both more an attack minded player, however they may be the answer to our lack of attack. But i agree we need a player who can play the lenny/makelele role

 

I spose JJ and Tommy will be off. Would like to see another midfielder and at least 2 fresh strikers!

Let's say we have got one striker, would sack the rest and replace them with quality offy!

 

Anderson is good when Aberdeen play Killie and Motherwell but never plays particularly well against us or the huns. Personally I think our defence is sorted.

Naylor-McManus-Kennedy-Doumbe is as solid a defence as we`ve had in recent years.

Personally I think we need a midfielder(maybe 2) and a striker. Looks like Gravesen and Jarosik might go so with Lennon already away we`ll need more in there. Sno and Bjarnasson are young so I wouldn`t rely on them to carry the midfield.

JVOH needs someone up with him. Simple as that. Someone with pace and an eye for goal would form a formidable partnership with him.

 

I've changed my mind, forget Barton let's go for Darren Fletcher.

 

We need a winger, a striker and a defensive midfielder.

A winger so we can give McGeady and Naka compettion and backup if one gets injured.

A striker to partner JVoH. A quick one that can find the back of the net.

A defensive midfielder to replace Lenny and add steel to the centre.

We have 6 centrehalves at the moment, we don't need another.

I agree with you about our strikers on the main. JVOH has been injured a fair bit but has been playing more regularly recently. When he`s been playing he has been one of our best players by far. Though Magic was good last season and I`d like to see him stay on and see if he can recapture that form.

Miller and Beattie can both go as far as I`m concerned. I like the way Miller forces errors in defenders and midfileders but he can`t score when they lose out.

Beattie`s hopeless. Spends most of the game lying on the ground shouting for free kicks. A squad player but nothing more.

 

I see Brown as a central driving midfielder. We need another winger with electric pace that can beat a man and get to the byeline and put in a cross. Naka doesn't have enough pace and McGeady doesn't have the brains to know when to put the ball in the box instead of trying to beat 5 men. It doesn't help that WGS plays our wide men on the wrong sides so they have to come back on to their stronger feet mind you.

I would love to see us sign Willhelmson personally.

I'd also love us to sign Fletcher.

 

Me I think we need a Holding Midfielder (Darren fletcher) and A good winger if Scott Brown is played in the middle. I am ok with strikers keep beattie and we have Mcdonald coming in who am sure will be a good newcomer to the champion's league which you always need.
