Iran wants the Oil out of Iraq, they alreay control about 10% of the country and the people in the goverment,so when the troops do leave it leaves the door open for Iran to make marker in Iraq

Could you imigine Iran in control of all that oil?

IMO, the reason Iran is a problem is because of the UK. The years of ruling their country and installing our puppets in the government has come back to bite Britain in the *. Imperialism has caused the UK wars in Ireland, Africa and there will be more in the Middle East.

It would have been so much easier if we were Commies:50:

At the end of Gulf War 1, the US forces (not politicians) wanted to go through Iraq into Iran, and take over the whole area.

    The politicians said no.

Here we are some 18 years later on the brink of it anyway.

History dictates.... in the time of war, listen ti the Generals, not the shiny arsed Politicians.

Maybe a big FU to the politicians whom sent them but not to the troops who are only professionals doing their job (bad apples aside-mainly US)and risking their necks. You should never blame professional soldiers for wars - they just go where they are told too. If they refuse and are under contract they will loose their careers and go to jail. Its not like its a war they have specifically volunteered for. Dont blame the ordinary soldier.

The whole area is messed up because the idiots who controlled the middle east(The British) after WWI after the Ottoman Empire was destroyed didnt know how to * draw political boundaries. And lumped historical enemy factions together in countries.

And we all know communism doesnt work and will never work. Just last night Chavez, a well respected socialist, took down the last free TV network and replaced it with another pro-chavez network. 80% of the venezualan public watches that network and there were protests over taking it down

i dont really want to get into political discussions.

of course the politicians are the first ones to blame.. but the soldiers knew what's gonna happen before they signed their contract, they knew there were gonna fight in some battle zones. nobody forced them to join the army. killing is their job, if I'd do it, I had to go to jail.

on the other hand, if there were no troops, there wouldn't be any wars. I doubt the fat and lazy politician * would move their arses if they had to fight.

I would like to see a seriously powerful united EU armed force that has the power to defend itself and not follow American policy. It would have to be on a par with American power.

The main reason for a lot of people joining up is poverty. For many young guys from disadvantaged backgrounds the forces look like a good option.

The Americans shamelessly take advantage of this by setting up recruitment offices in the poorest areas of towns and cities.

ive never seen a recruitment station dave.

And they bug everyone. I get calls and letters in the mail all the time from various forces. Lot of people sign up because of the free education at universities.
