it happened about 2 years ago was at football went to jump up for the ball and must have fell akward and i heared a pop or snap in my leg , so went to hospital and they tell me its my ligament and give me tablets and a bandage , so few months later i go back to football thinking im fine but wasnt to be went to volley the ball same thing happened went to hospital same thing , so about 4 months later went for a kick about with my mates as i felt fine was going to gym ect so went to do the rabona trick and my leg went again , went to hospital ect same thing , so i was like * this im going to physio he said its my ligament but would need a scan to see how bad it was , so went to my doctor to see a specialist in sport medicine physiopherty and he was doing tests on my leg to see what was wrong ect so he tells me its the ACL and that doesnt heal on its own its needs surgery :54:

That's a boot in the balls. Sorry to hear that. It sounds as though this could have been dealt with earlier if the correct diagnosis had been given.

Regicfc, just look to Henrik Larsson for inspiration, I believe he suffered a similar injury at Barca and look how he returned, you can do the same if you have the right mindset. I broke my leg when i was 16, and through the dark times I told myself I would return the same as Larsson and Petrov after their leg breaks and it worked. Just try to be positive

I had the same kind of injury when I was 12 I just got physio on it and it healed but it still buggeres me I have to streach alot before I can run about or my knee just buckles.

It matters on how badly damaged it is and how old you are becuase if you are over 20 you will probably need surgery.

I just got electricty pumped through my knee 3 times a week for a few months.
