anyone watch fernando torres last night playing for athletico madrid against barca.... whats the fuss.... looked a disinterested billy big time.... i do hope one of the so called blue chip players we chase is a "somebody" and not a "gonna be".... high transfer fee disnae guarantee a great player.....otherwise the chairman of murry international matals works team would have had a sensation on a certain mr torre andre flo.at 13million he was utter pish.

 

hope celtic go in for fletcher , we will have a good chance of getting him and he wants cl football... and hargreeves is coming in fir man u

 

I'm obviously not saying we are gonna get Torres but he's f'kin quality mate.Was crap last night but when your'e 3 or 4 down at HT and you are getting no service it's hard to raise your game.

Atletico is resigned to the fact that he's going, just going to accept the highest transfer possible (moneys on liverpool tbh), will miss him alot because he is one of the best (and he just continues to improve) but the money will be used to bolster the defence which can be amazing at times and terrible sometimes as well (as you saw last night) just need some constincy at the back and another clinical striker and Atletico could likely challenge for a CL spot.

 

I think liverpool might actually get tevez I rate tevez better he wins games and is well just a really good player and will be great for liverpool.

 

Tevez has done basically nothing for West Ham exept the relagation saving goal

 

tevez did great for west ham he got about 10 goals near the end of the season and he was voted the hammers player of the year he jsut took time to adapt to the EPL but he did he quicker then other players

 

Tevez once he got adapted was one of the biggest reasons West Ham stayed up. I saw most of there last few games and he was fantastic as well as scoring a bunch of vital goals for them.

 

Agree Torres was crap last night but then again so was his whole team. Before that though I believe he had scored 6 goals in his last 5 games against Barcelona. He is a top quality striker IMHO.

 

Torres was pish the other night, no doubt. However, as someone who watches La Liga every week I would have to say he is up there wi the best strikers in the world. Top 3-5 easy! One bad game doesn't make you a bad player.

He has practically been carrying Atletico for years who are a pretty mediocre side. It's high time he left and went to a team who can actually win stuff. Premiership seems to be the favoured destination. Hope he does well, my only criticism of him would be the diving. Typically Spanish, likes his theatrics.

 

I actualy think Diego Forlan is a better player then Torres on show of performances in La Liga, Forlan has been scoring loads goals for Villarreal this season, even got a hat trick 2 weeks ago. Ive always wanted Celtic to sign him, cos he has proven that he can score against the huns Anyone remember his goals in Man Utd vs Rangers and Rangers vs Villarreal games? Hehehe.... I am beuing unrealistic of course, we ll never afford him but hey we can dream. Imagine actually signing a Golden Shoe winner.

 

It's benn heavly link that torres will go to Liverpool for around 27 million, it's being said everywhere it's just up to weather torres wants to move.

Duego Forlan he isn't worth it he is way to inconsistant he can score like three hatricks in a row and then not score for half a season. he has just came into form for Villareal
