the point of this thread is not who is the best player in the world, but the fact that we can not attract the greatest players to the club.

 

You said best in the world. I dont feel he is the best in the world. He disappears for long stretches for no utter reason and it would even be worse in the SPL ffs.

All those other players I would rather see at Celtic. Not only are they alot younger, they show up for most of their games.

Its a possibility. He's 32 and thats a major deterant for the Europe's elite clubs. Would be a marque signing which would attract alot of attention. Wouldn't surprise me if Peter Lawell pulled it off.

he is one of the best players in the world, he carrys liverpool alongside the best CB in the world (carragher) and this is coming from a guy that doesnt even like liverpool

ronaldinho is some player, when he plays, this season hes been a dud, messi has shown what he can do and ronaldinho isnt even getting a look in. anyone can juggle a ball

Did I miss something in the E-Tims article? Where did that name come from? The only name I thought of was Geremi. As in the clue: think of a Pearl Jam song, Jeremy...Geremi.

Juninho would a good signing depending on the cost. He would be more a statement of superiority over Rangers but do we really need to do that?

I think he's the type of player that ages well, his style doesnt rely on super fitness (e.g. Bergkamp & McAllister) so at 32 I think he'll play well until 36 if he can stay away from injuries.

A former Celt making his way back, I hope it's not Old Lazy * Viduka, he's out of contract at Boro.
If an ex player is to come back it'll be Petrov, Bellamy or Viduka, in my opinion.
Don't like players coming back, so i hope there's not too much truth in this rumour.
