    Celtic target Alexsandar Tonev is set to make a decision in the next 24 hours on where he wants to play next season.

    Lech Poznan winger Tonev has caught the eye of several clubs with his performances in the Polish league and on the international stage with Bulgaria.

    The 23-year-old has two years remaining on his contract at Lech Poznan but is set to quit Poland for a fresh challenge and Celtic are among the clubs interested.

    Malaga and Werder Bremen are reportedly in the race to sign the £2m-rated winger but Tonev has already stated that he wants to play for a club in the Champions League, something neither the Spanish or German club could offer.

    "There is definite interest in Scotland,” Tonev’s agent Terence Chongwa told STV. "There is interest from a few clubs.

    "He is still thinking about his future. He is going to take in all things.

    "It's the overall package that will count, not just the money on offer. Everything should be right for him.

    "We are holding a meeting tomorrow and Aleksandar's position could become clearer then.

    "There's interest from Germany and Spain. He is currently doing his own research of all clubs. No final decision has been reached yet."

    Lech Poznan would not confirm if they had received or accepted any offers for Tonev.

    "We don’t talk on the transfer of any of our players," a club spokesman said. “All we can confirm is scouts of Celtic have been to our games this season."

    Even if we don't get him, I'm pleased enough with the ambition the club is showing. Taking on clubs like Malaga and Bremen for players is a good sign.

    Sounds like from the three clubs we are better suited. Europe he wants. League titles he will get. World class training, great coaches, high publicity etc etc.

    I really do hope we manage to get this guy, he looks a good player, bit of experience and is a position we need. It's being able to get our first choices in the transfer market like this that'll help propel us back into being CL regulars.
