George & Mildred. That Yootha Joyce was a stunner.

There were so many good sitcoms made in the 70's and 80's that I've forgotten half of them I reckon.

    I like these............

    Only Fools & Horses
Father Ted(this program just buckles me sometimes. Genuine :56: moments)
    Friends
    Fawlty Towers
    Blackadder
    Game On
    Porridge
    Cheers
    'Allo 'Allo!
    Rab C. Nesbitt
    Still Game
    I'm Alan Partridge
    One Foot in the Grave

Don't know of anyone's mentioned it but I think arrested development is the funniest show I've seen. Unbelievably witty

Never got right into it....but she was a great character!
It should have been better than it was i think.Too many also rans among the rest of the cast though....especially her husband, who for me, should have had more of a recognised good actor playing the downtrodden hubby.
Paul Eddington in The Good Life played a similar role brilliantly.

The 2 series I can't stop watching just now (Well suppose they're the same series) are Porridge and Going Straight. Ronnie Barker is genius in them, it's timeless TV.

Only Fools and Horses as well. Actually one of my favourite episodes of Porridge is Pardon Me which also stars David Jason!

That was the episode that was on BBC 4 last night.

Can't say I ever really got into Going straight as much but haven't seen it that often.

Think I miss the other characters. That one last night Barraclough was absolutely brilliant. Insisting he hadn't signed the petition until it was presented to him.

Only fools and horses, Love thy neighbour,George and Mildred, Rab C Nesbitt and Game on as already mentioned were among my favourite oldies along with Bless this house, On the buses, , Man about the house,Mind your language and Bread. Best most recent though are Still Game, Mrs Browns Boys and that new one on ESPN. Not sure what it's called can anyone help me out.

That might be it mate. Does it start at 11-30 am on a Saturday morning and feature 44,500 zombies (allegedly) cheering on 11 wannabe footballers (acting is pish but a good laugh all the same) and end with them booing as the main character (big fat bloke) disappears down a big dark tunnel.
