Dont mind them. Majority of them are safe road users who could probably do with more cycle lanes.

Then there are the twats who disobey the laws of the road (like some drivers). Like the muppet who nearly hit me today by cycling through a red light and straight through the pedestrian crossing.

Watched that programme on BBC 1 about the cyclists. some of the treatment was shocking but there was that one guy with glasses who aggrivated road users even if they werent close to him.

Being both a cyclist and a driver I can see both sides of the argument.on my bike I ride a metre from the kerb because the lack of space some cars give me has put me on the grass or pavement.driving my car I see the other side and that is cyclists wanting to jump lights or using the pavement.if you want respected by cars then use the same rules that apply.

When they cycle in big groups or ignore lights or other road signs/laws then they're *.
Also hate it when someone cycles about 2miles an hour and hold up traffic. They'd be quicker walking.

pain in the hole !!!! constantly going between lanes of traffic waiting at lights then proceed to go through the lights. they never signal where they are going never courteous and stay to the inside and let traffic by them. actually had one come crashing into my wing mirror when thy thought they could squeeze past at a light !

If a cyclist has taken time to learn the rules of the road then what is the harm? Fair enough there is some people out there on bikes that can be totally oblivious to cars following them, but people in cars can be just as bad when they bully cyclists that are doing nothing wrong.

Mostly for cycling on pavements (I refuse to get out of the way for them if I'm walking!) or for not having lights / reflective gear at night. Just plain dangerous!

Also shout at cyclists that jump red lights or cycle through when green man flashes. Annoys me so much!

some cyclists are ok, they let cars go infront of them e.t.c

the ones I find annoying are these groups of spandex mutts that hold all the traffic up and don't even care. they don't pay to register their bikes.

so they can go and suck their mums * and choke on it.

Loads of them in the highlands in summer, up to 100 at a time all throughout the summer...does my nut. Funny cos I used to be a cyclist and go out daily, I was always curtious and let traffic past, but as a driver id say I was in the minority and really cant be * wi most cyclists.

Nothing wrong with cyclists as long as you ride in single file and adhere to the rules of the road ..couldnt cycle in the towns too much pollution from the gas guzzlers ! ....people want to try it before knocking it :50:

Having to deal with this makes me feel sorry for cyclists. See it almost everyday in London.

    Nae bad.

Personal thoughts - i'm not a driver....never even had a lesson. Also don't cycle either. Bus / walking has always done me fine, and i'm lucky that where I live the infrastructure for it is actually fantastic. Although first bus are a shower of money grabbing *.:50:

The cyclists I see are, on the whole, ok in terms of their behaviour on the road. However, a few things:

    • Where there are cycle lanes......eh, * USE THE THINGS. Getting stuck behind some * who is monopolising the road instead of their designated area is a regular occurrence. Plain * ignorant.
    • Cyclists who weave all over the place because of imperfections on the road. Simply put, it's * idiotic. If the roads are not safe enough, then don't cycle. However, when on a bike and ambling all over the shop * nilly, you are frankly being thick as *. And the whole "well shouldn't the roads be fixed" notion - yes, they should. However, up here in Aberdeen the council have no * money....you just have to deal with it and move on.
    • Cyclists who "pair up" and cycle aside one another on roads lacking width, where there are regular corners. This prevents drivers from being able to go past them, and thus being stuck at snail pace. A, it is pure selfishness, and B, it encourages risky driving for people who choose to overtake when there is more risk than there would be on a straight road. Driver error, I hear you say? Yes - but wouldn't be required if these * on 2 wheels showed 1 iota of common sense.
    • Parents who cycle with a * baby strapped on to the back of their bike in some add-on child tray separate to the bike itself. I don't even need to quantify my thoughts here - safe to say, these people are, again, cretins.
    • The "tour de france" * dribbles up Banchory / Ballater way who feel the need to dress up in the gear. Fuds.
You know, the more I think about it, I actually hate the majority of these *.
