Loads of "attacking midfielders" mate. We didn't have many who could step into the CM/DM role, whatever you want to call it.

You're not actually trying to suggest that fitness levels will affect a footballers performance are you?

Seems a bit far fetched to me.

Bitton, Johansen, Mulgrew, Allan, Armstrong, McGregor

Add Ajer coming in next season also, along with the return of Hendo - plenty of other options instead of Broon.

That being said, we're still desperately missing a midfield enforcer - not just some snarling baldy gnaff - a proper reader of the game who can tackle properly.

It wouldn't be the first time Broony's played for us when he shouldn't be, plays through injury many a time for us.

Ronny said it and then he repeated it a week or two ago, he's still not right.

Knowing Scott Brown and his character, do you not think that is more likely than him giving up, throwing in the towel and refusing to play well for a manager?

He's probably not 100% fit, but he's not a * casualty of war jumping about with a leg hanging off.

Any * proper player - a real man - would have dragged his balls through a mile of broken glass to fight for everything if it was in his nature - think back to the players of the 60's/70's/80's......would get clattered, bones broken and still fight for everything. Not oor Broony though, eh.

No, I'm sorry, Scott is as culpable as Ronny and a fair share of other underpormers within the first team.

I disagree mate. I think Broony's been patched together for years now, playing him through injuries is * idiotic. If the bodys not willing there's not muh the spirit can do.

Get him fit, we'll see a return.

Nope - don't buy that for a second.

If a * * can play another half of a football match with a broken neck, so can somecunt 40/50 years later on with x amount of specialist care and gadgetry to alleviate "pain".

Danny in his golden age would still offer more desire, commitment and fight than some of this current lot.

    "He's not fit"

Is that why he can't pass a ball? Can't run? Can't tackle? Can't shoot? :smiley-laughing002:

There are always excuses for him, any other player would get slaughtered for the "performances" he puts on, but not Scott Brown.

He has been a good player for us, nae doubt, but he is bringing the team down to his level. The kind of performance from him on Sunday is deeply embarrassing from our captain. I have wrote it on here before and I'll write it again, we are doomed if he is our teams leader, doomed I tell yees!!!

He's done. He knows it, he's been dropping hints for about a year that he knows he's not got much time left. Wish the Celtic supporters would realize it too.

He has been slaughtered for his performances, left, right and centre.

Think the major issue is the midfield he's played in this year he has to do the work of three men just about on Sunday McKay Stevens never track back once and broon had to do 70, 80 yard runs to cover him. As for passing he could never pass the ball from day one.

There'll be a few folk in here at the beginning of next season eating humble pie when the normal Broony is back and leading our team from the front. I realise that it's open season on everybody at Celtic who's name isn't Tierney or Sviatchenko but talking about stripping Broony of the captaincy after the contribution he's made over the past few seasons is so premature it's practically ungrateful. He is NOT finished. I'd put my last penny on that.
