We should have had at least one penalty with that * Lichenstiener manhandling Hooper but he books both of them.

So then we take Hooper off him and put someone else on him and he does the same again yet the ref ignores it.

Then we put ANOTHER player on him and he does the same again but the ref decides to focus on a tussle on the 18 yard line and book both again.

Juventus. Once a cheat always a cheat.

I hope the ref gets a rash from his rolex and gets * the runs from his belgian chocolates.

    Heartbreaking.

Agree, the ref was shocking with his "I'll book both sure" attitude, this thread needs merged into the match thread but.

It was unbelievable... Should have at least one penalty shot in this game, probably two

Filthy * playing the cheap Italian football as always... you could have an Italian team with Messi/Xavi/Iniesta/Ronaldo/Zlatan/Neymar and a dozen other superstars and they'd still be coached to bend the rules and play as cynical as possible

    Why?

It's a point that has to be made regardless of the final score.

Ill be honest, i never relised or noticed how seriously bad italian football is. Celtic by far where the better team, no green specs here. The ambrose gamble never paid off. Jet lag, lack of sleep etc unfortunately has caught up on him :( he pushed broony over, then dived to the floor and pirlos screaming he stamped on him?? Pirlo = cheating, *, italian *.

I couldn't take any more at the end and came into the kitchen because i was losing my voice and my mind.

My youngest bhoy who never says boo to anybody was going off his fgucking nut, I've never ever heard him so animated.

    An absolute tragedy.

Totally agree. That was some of the most blatant, if not thee most blatant fouling I have ever seen in a game; the referee is mere feet away, looking straight at it and does nothing - except book 1 Juve and 1 Celtic player.

    I really * hate Juventus.

I said in the match thread, if we get that totally blatant penalty in the first 2 mins when that dirty * Lichsteiner almost dragged Hooper through the net, and we score, it's a totally different game and no doubt we'd have beat the *. That was the first and there was another at least three incidents of the same nature. Ref was a * the whole game. Gutted.

It happens. The ref, nor any Juve player, is to fault for our abysmal result tonight. The blame lies at Neil's door. His team selection, and general lack of transfer conduct in the January window dictated that this would happen.

Writing was on the wall in the group stages and in other games, yet he did nothing. Deserve what you get.

Can you blame them? Lee Dixon said it best at half time when he said, "they will keep doing it as the KNOW the ref will not give a penalty". Thats what needs to be addressed, not just their actions. I'm not suggesting Dixon knew there was a pre plan or anything but he does know what goes on on the pitch. As someone else put it, it is as bad as diving these days.

It's fair to say UEFA will look into this now. It was soooo fuckn blatant man. Referee was absolutely terrified and did not know what to do about it.

After he booked Lichtentwat and Hooper, he did think about sending him off, but didn't want to do anything controversial.

It was easily a penalty every time we had a set piece, and if he gives it once, they stop doing it.

Nothing could possibly have highlighted it more on live TV, they have to act now and the teams who do it all the time are the Italian teams.

The referee decided not to be swayed by the crowd and giving the Juventus players a wee hand shake when they get subbed sums him up.

I don't think you'll see him in charge of another Champions League game, but for me he denied us a man advantage and a goal that would have lifted the spirit of the crowd and the team. He clearly wanted them to win.

Everyone can see Juve were lucky tonight and the tie may look over, but you just never know in football.

Don't know what game you watch mate, Simply can't believe the ref could get away with that, it had to be a payoff. The fouling on Hooper, the push on Scott Brown they both had to be penalties and the Juve player shaking hands with the ref and the ref patting him on the back. They payoff off ref before surely they have done it again tonight? Ambrose had a nightmare but the ref cost us the game. On the up side Celtic where brilliant at time tonight, a lot of the time in fact and for sure the better team did not win tonight. Safe to say it's all over now but what a run it has been :)

Like I said, it happens. Back when teams prepared properly for these type of games, they'd have matches against local sides so they'd have an idea of how to retaliate against similar methods. Our lack of preparation for this game was shocking. Really, really unprofessional.

It was mentioned during the game by the commentary team. We are not used to this type of man marking system and that is Neil's fault (and his coaching staff). You cannot blame the ref or the Juve side.

The worst one was in the second half a Juve defender pushed Brown to the ground with both hands at a corner and then after Brown went down he collapsed holding his leg when nocunt was near him :smiley-laughing002:

dirty cheating *, by far the luckiest team ive ever seen at Celtic Park. The * barely got out their own half an won 3-0 :31:
