Modern day would have to be Henrik...
Upcoming tie with Juve reminds me that I was 16 before my mother would let me go to a game! September 1981 we played Juventus in the European Cup, first round first leg.
My most enduring memory is when Murdo McLeod scored, I leapt in the air and didn't come down for ages thanks to the crush of bodies that carried me downwards. We won 1-0 and it was fantastic! Unfortunately we got gubbed 2-0 in the return leg (but the ref denied us a stonewaller at CP!!!:p)

What was your first game - was there a special reason for going? Did we win? What is your memory of it?

Tony Mowbrays testimonial. I think it was about 92. We drew 1-1 and Gerry Creaney scored. As we lived in North Yorkshire I used to go to a few Boro games with my da and brother or mates from school so wasn't going to miss this one.

I think my abiding memory apart from how many Celtic fans were there was the trouble at half time. Particularly the handbags on the half way line. I remember the Celtic would charge up to the Boro fans then retreat then the Boro fans would do the same but what I remember is one Boro fan obviously had the wrong footwear on as when he was meant to be retreating he slipped and got a bit of a kicking.

Celtic 4 - 1 Raith Rovers, can't mind the year. Pretty sure Tony Rougier was playing that day though as he went on to play for Reading and it always reminded me of that day.

My first time watching Celtic in the flesh was in 2004 when Celtic travelled to Dunfermline for a league match. I was actually in the Dunfermline end, as the auld man couldn't get away tickets, I must have been about 10 and I can remember the goals as if it was yesterday.

I was going mad after every Celtic goal and to be fair to the Dunfermline support, they were all sound and had a laugh about it. I think that was the day I really caught the Celtic bug.

    Larsson was outstanding that day.

Larssons last league game at home against Dundee United, bagged himself a brace and got an amazing ovation after the game from the fans.

I did go to a Celitc cup game against Ayr at Somerset Park when I was about 5 with my dad and uncle though I can't remember a thing about it! apparently I spent the whole match clambering over and playing with the seats! :smiley-laughing002:

After that the first Celtic I remember going to was the Valencia match when we went out on penalties. :54: As heartbreaking as that result was, once you experience that kind of atmosphere there's no other team that could come close.

Wasn't my first but I was at that game. Juve had some * team back then. 8 of them went on to win the world cup with Italy the following year and their 3 foreign players were Platini, Liam Brady and a Polish guy called Boniek who was top class at he time.

Can't remember the year, think it was 84 sure I was bout 10. Remember big aitken had a blinder in it and I got to meet him and tommy burns after the game. Remember tommy was so nice and we had a laugh with him.

Tony Adam's testimonial in 2002 at Highbury, don't remember much about it other than that I couldn't see a * thing. Thommo scored a free kick and we drew 1-1. My first competitive game was against Dundee in December that year at Celtic Park, we won 2-0, Hartson scored a wonderful overhead kick and Henrik got a header. Big Rab saved a penalty as well.

Celtic 1-1 Aberdeen at Celtic Park (think it was 1990); Andy Walker scored for Celtic and Hans Gillhaus for Aberdeen. My first Cup Final was the Celtic v Aberdeen 9-8 on penalties that same year.
