We lacked leadership, which Lenny himself stated, yet Brown is getting praise for being MOTM?

Not a chance. Hooper is the only one that comes away with any praise whatsoever and even at that he's had much better days.

Brown stood out ahead of the rest of the team today IMO. Willing to dig in and take responsibility on the ball.

I thought Brown, Hooper and Izaguirre all played well. Matthews, Mulgrew and Samaras were poor and Lassad, Ledley and Wanyama were quiet and never imposed themselves enough.

Brown and Hooper are the only players to get pass marks from me today.

    Tell that to our manager.

We clearly want different things from a captain. Personally to watch Celtic get turned over without so much as a single cajole from your 'midfield general' is not good enough.

I'm not a Brown hater, whatever the * that term means that seems to have cropped up, but he was not the player we needed him to be today despite his excellent ball to Hooper and a couple of other good turns.

I'd tell more than that to our manager - who incidentally has been known in the past to come out with a few whoppers in his post-match interviews.

You don't agree with him that we lacked leadership?

A 'whopper' that most certainly isn't. 100% fact it is.

I couldn't possibly agree with him on anything as I haven't heard of his comments (as of yet).

Leadership doesn't boil down to just one person (as we all know).

Broony is the only one who can hold his head high today.

Of course it doesn't; Samaras, Ledley and Mulgrew are 3 of the others that were * but the buck stops, on the park, with the captain.

He called them spoiled kids, his own words, yet Brown was one of them not attempting to shake them out of it.

Broony was leading by example and going mental at the others, he cannot however control others actions. He can't legislate for Gary Hooper not burying the ball after he sets him up brilliantly, he can't know that Charlie Mulgrew will completely bottle the game, miss a penalty and then decide tocatch the ball in the box up the other side oft the pitch...

He can't do everything for everybody.

Here, Brown isn't the manager. Have you criticised Lenny?

The only player remotely to put any effort in today.

    Spot on. :50:

Brown was the only one who showed a bit of fight. The rest let St Mirren walk all over them.

Think Lennon should have expected far more from others other than Brown i.e. Samaras and Wanyama (for starters).

Brown played the majority of the game wide and did a good job - hassled, hustled and bustled and drove through into the advanced position on a few occasions.

Doesn't the buck usually stop with the manager?

I'll get back to you on this further when I read Lennon's comments.

*edit - just had a listen to Lennon's comments there - I'm sure he'll retract/revise some of the things that he said - most likely his comment about not thinking either two penalties were penalties.
