Whats the point in signing Russell or Doyle, unless we are selling a striker??
We just need to sign a left sided winger or fullback.

I have a bad feeling that we will sell Hooper today for upwards of £7m.:54:

I quite like Wigan but Aiden is better than that.

Martinez has all but ruled out signing Aiden.
"Aiden is a phenomenal footballer, but is a footballer that is playing his football in Russia. I don't think that's going to change."

Where do they come up with these numbers from, Aiden McGeady would cost a lot more than 5 million. He's on a big contract with Spartak. He would cost in the region of 15 million at least, not saying he'd be worth that, but that is how much he would cost.

Wigan would be a good footballing fit for McGeady, but not in club stature or performance.

I usually enjoy transfer deadline days because we are usually on the offensive but I cant wait for this window to close.

Their first 3 bids were under 6m, I can't see that they're going to meet our valuation.

Who is managing there bid size? We've made a healthy profit this season already we don't need 5-6million extra to be without our top scorer. It would need to be a unrealistic bid I think of 15+million for the board to consider him leaving. If he leaves we could potentially lose more money by selling him in the long term.

Anything on tele about the fourth bid, i.e accepted/rejected.
Told by a friend it has meet our valuation. Then again, the amount of nonsense rumours going around on the last day is unreal.

Must be honest, I'm more concerned about a bid from QPR. There buying anyone under the sun, and throwing money around like it's going out of fashion.

Going by the last 3 home games I've been to 30 thousand there tops maybe 35 at a push. Looks like we may need to sell players to make money as no one is buying tickets
