Rude Bhoys post is sums up my feelings on her life, Car bombs in public settings that could injure or kill regardless of economic or political infrastructure targets have never been a tactic I've agreed with.

This woman joined an organisation with the sole intent of liberating her country and people from oppression and for that I have respect for her.

Mentioned loads but its a disgrace that Marian remains in prison, didnt know she lived in Malahide either.

Not a great fan of these R.I.P threads generally. I had a quick look at the Michael Winner the other day ( someone I had no time for at all so I didn't leave a comment.)

When I heard of Dolours death it reminded me of Michael Mansfield's book I read last year.Which I added to the autobiographies thread in the hope maybe 1 person will read it and then come back to these sort of threads and contribute in a sensible manner. (Whether or not they agree with Dolours.)

    Instead of "she killed 100's"

Just for the record, some of the posts on here where pretty disgusting... you many of us going in disrespecting other threads about people who've died just because we've disagreed with them.

"murders" nonsense is pretty pathetic and ignorant tbh, soldiers are murderers yet they still are respected, some of you nations most famous heroes where murderers. I guess some people seem to think they can take some kind of moral high ground and pick & choose which "murderers" should be remembered and respected and which should not.

If you don't agree with what she did then you don't have to post in this thread, it's clear some of you are just looking for a reaction which is pathetic. Believe it or not there are large group of people on here who want to share there condolences. Who is anyone else to say who they can or cannot pay respect to?

I mean jesus christ.... it's always the "anti-IRA" ones who seem to be the ones with causing the arguments.

I'm sure she's held in the similar respects to William Wallace, Both fought for their country's freedom and for that fact alone there will be lovers and haters in today's terms.

A nasty vindictive move. Not surprising though.

Statement from the family of Marian Price McGlinchey.

We have received news that Marian's application for compassionate parole following the tragic death of her sister Dolours has been refused, despite her being granted bail earlier today.
Given Marian's current health issues it is laughable that she would pose any kind of security or flight risk. We feel this decision is nothing more than a continuance of a vicious and vindictive campaign on the part of the Prison Service, the Department of Justice and the British secretary of state along with M15 to destroy Marian both physically and mentally.
We would urge all right thinking people to utterly condemn this blatant breach of Marian's fundamental human rights.
