The thing that stood out to me was the ballboy's reaction after a few seconds when he realised that nobody was paying attention, the look on his face was priceless as he briefly stopped feigning injury and looked around with a bemused expression.

    I noticed that :smiley-laughing002:

I can honestly say, hand on heart, I would have done the same as Hazard. Whether people would think that was wrong or not, I know myself I would have done at least that in the heat of the moment.

I would've done the same as well, but would have made it look more like a sharp prod with my foot.

He could have gotten away with it if he tried to be a bit more subtle.

    Disgusting stuff from Hazard.

I’m seriously considering contacting the appropriate authorities to make a public complaint, that was an assault and deserves to be dealt with by the full rigor of the law.

I hate Chelsea but after seeing the replay, he tried to kick the ball out from under the little * and not that hard, SSN said they both apologised to each other after the game and that should be the end of it for me.

I'm wondering how the ref knew to send him off since neither he nor the assistants saw it.

Apparently the wee * was on his Twitter account before the game boasting about timewasting. As for the so-called kick, there was * all in it, Hazard tried to kick the ball out from under him and caught him in the ribs, as far as I'm concerned it's his own fault, bullshit red card in my opinion and I hate Chelsea as well :56:

As much as I dislike Chelsea the wee * shouldn't be rolling about on top of the ball, yeah Hazard has been stupid but nothing more than that for me Benitez summed it up well tbh

Its violent conduct so its a red card, non-issue about the red.
On the other hand the ball boys reaction was embarrassing to say the least, rather amusing that hazard was trying to get the ball back quickly and ended up wasting 5-10 mins and got himself sent off, mission impossible after that for chelski.

Good riddance anyway, onto more important things anyone see how good Ki was, apart from his fuckup when he should have scored he was outstanding.

I don't see how it can be classed as violent conduct, he tried to kick the ball out from under the wee *, if that happened on the park where a player fell on the ball and an opposition player tried to kick it out but accidentally kicked the player, the ref would blow for a foul, award a free kick and the game would resume as normal with no fuss. *, it's not like he volleyed the ball boy full pelt in the ribs.

    I'm not picky.
I hate Chelski with a passion but I don't honestly think that Hazard deliberately kicked the ball boy with malice. I thought he did when I first watched the video but after watching it again I think he kicked at the ball to get it out from underneath the kid but he caught the kid as he went for the ball. Still, Hazard shouldn't have kicked at the ball though, especially when the ball boy was on top of it.

The ball boy should have just left the ball alone as Hazard was already there to pick the ball up and get on with the game, but instead he decides to flop down onto the ball and smother it as if to say "It's my ball - you're no' gettin' it, boyo!", and after getting caught with the kick he decides to do a wee bit of play-acting as well :nonono:

I actually think that Hazard was a bit unlucky to be sent off, but in saying that I don't think the ref had really any other option as it is deemed as violent conduct. If it was a player that had done that on the pitch and Hazard had done the exact same he would still have been sent off because he it is viewed that the player would have been deliberately kicked.

The young lad will need to be offered counselling after
    that traumatic incident.
If it needs to be for life chelski or hazard should fund it.:86:

Can't believe the uproar over this.

The fact it is making headline news just shows where priorities are in this part of the world.

    Moaning faced *.

I hope that wee * of a ballboy is ashamed of himself, but knowing his type he won't be.

The Pat Nevin interview on BBC this morning was brilliant.

It was either John Hollins kid or the other one that looks exactly the same and although it was a live interview I think they pretty much had a script in their heads that Nevin would just come on and crucify Hazard. He didn't. He didn't excuse Hazard as what he did was stupid but he had more of a go at the ball boy and the media. He kept asking them why they were only showing the one angle and the aftermath not what the ballboy did.

He then said look I don't want to be too hard on the kid he is only 11 or 12. The presenter then told him he was 17 and he was pishing himself.

Nevin is controversial for the sake of it sometimes and finished by suggesting all ball boys should be banned.

Was a good interview though where the media come with a lazy point of view and then just can't cope when the interview doesn't go the way they had thought it would.

Seen him on the news too :smiley-laughing002:

I was shocked when the reporter said he was 17. Thought he was a lot younger than that.
The ballboy was an utter * and going by his twitter posts he's a known timewaster at games. His pic looks like a total douche too.
