    Yup, Australians abroad are closely monitored. We hear alot about the varying age groups for international levels and how the players are going. For Asian Cup matches and easier world cup qualification it is preferred to use players based in asia however the australians playering abroad are held in a high regard.

    Definitely. Pages on Facebook such as 'Australian Football' and websites such as 442 Australia are always reporting on overseas Australian footballers. It's not really talked about so much in mainstream media compared to Aussie rules football, rugby etc.

    The 'Australian Football' Facebook page has been posting constant updates on Rogic and that has got a lot of people talking about Celtic.

    I know many Australian based Celtic supporters, like myself, that are stoked to see another playing for in the Hoops. :50:

    I think it's also worth noting that most transfers recently of players from the A-League have been to the Chinese and Korean leagues. It's nice to see one of our younger players go to a decent European club for a change.

    CELTIC have today announced the signing of Australian Tom Rogic from Central Coast Mariners on a four-and-a-half year deal subject to a work permit.

    The midfielder joins after a successful trial period during the club's training camp in Spain.

    Celtic have also confirmed that an application will be made to the appropriate authorities in the coming days as they look to fully complete the deal.

    The 20-year-old midfielder joins after making 29 appearances for the A-league side and featuring four times for the Australian national team

    I know ill probably get shot down for this but after watching big tams videos he kinda reminds me of kaka, long strides through midfield, good physical presence, good striking abilities. Not comparing him to kaka obviously but just saying thats who he reminds me of in a way.
