I'm only annoyed because I feel we already have all the tools we need to unlock packed defences. We have players who can pick a good forwards pass and cut open a defence rather than just mindnumbingly playing it horizontally Barca-style.

I don't think we need to buy a new playmaker I just think something in the attitude or mentality needs changing because Forrest, McGeouch, McCourt, Commons, Kayal, Ibrahim, Twardzik, maybe even Ambrose have all shown they are capable on occasion, but they need to be playing week in week out and doing it all the time they are on the pitch.

We are going to win the SPL this season, there's no doubt about that. What we should be doing is trying to play exciting and entertaining quick football like we did in Lenny's 1st season and only really try in the cups and CL, where every game is must-win.

Excellent point. I think any of them could be that playmaker role we want.

    Big time.

We have no one in the squad even close to his level of dead ball ability. In fact seeing Emilio and Lustig hit them, you almost feel let down before they have even taken it. Commons isn't much better either although he does have a better success rate.

Letting Niall McGinn go was a big mistake and i knew at the time he'd been overlooked.
McCourt is the same. In the short spells he plays you can see him picking out some great forward passes. He has the creative spark we need just not the pace.

Well Rogne was playing so it's amazing he didn't create something.

    WOW. :56: :56: :56:

Let's recall Murphy from Ipswich as well. And re-sign Sheridan and Darren O'Dea. Oh, and Rocco Quinn is on fire at Ross County.

We let McGinn go for a reason. He wasn't and isn't good enough.

We need another creative player/winger. Main problem today was that our most creative players were injured. If one of Commons/Mulgrew/Forrest were playing we'd have scored at least 1 imo.

Murphy, McGinn and Sheridan would be welcome back at any time as far as I'm concerned.

At Celtic Park? Yes. To play in the team? :56: :56: :56:

Murphy is the worst professional footballer I've seen in the flesh.

We dont miss McGinn, you cant miss someone who barely ever played and wasnt a first team regular/starter. We didnt miss Bangura because he was doing well in Sweden.

McCourt has the ability to play that role in the hole ala Hoolahan, Silva, Kagawa. He can pass, beat a player.

It is something that requires a change in approach.

I hate to see his talent being wasted on the bench. :31: Let him go in January if he is not going to play.

    It's his best position.

Wasted out wide. Should be on the ball as much as possible.

I would love a Naka style player in this team. We have a few extra pennies we should look to capture exactly that type of transfer again. Proven in a decent league with a much smaller team, a fair bit of international experience and a model professional.

There must be one or two options around! If anyone could find it, John park can!
