More than our defence not being good, the problem is that we're missing our entire left flank with Chiellini and Asamoah both out. Caceres is a good replacement, but De Ceglie is a disaster waiting to happen, and we're being punished for poor individual mistakes. Then there's our perennial problem of creating a million chances per match and not scoring any of them. We really should have been out of sight by the time the equalizer was scored.

To be fair, there were two (possibly three) clear penalties in our favour that weren't awarded. I guess it helps disprove the genius a few posts back who claimed that Juve are always helped by referees. Small mercies.

I was reading that the one thing that juve have got against them is the fact that they don't have much back up players, esspecially for the left flank I think. Good thing we have big Sammy and izzy with some good bit of pace between them.

    * game today though bhoys. Hope young rogic comes n makes a difference. I was listening to hail hail media and the central coast mariners president or something say that the reason rogic got a work permit 1st time was because they told the board that he was a valuable member for our champions league campaign. Sounds like big lennons got him in as out playmaker. He'll be subbed on though I think. Ps - Liverpool 3-1 down. Looks like were not the only mob having a bad day

The more i think of it i would play a front four of Hooper and Stokes, supported by Commons and Samaras at home. They can all interchange, and stokes and hooper have a great understanding. Samaras is critial in europe with his height and running power and Commons has that extra quality off intelligence on the ball. This would give the juve back 3 the most problems, and give the midfield of juve a reason to be pushed back. This front four will also have a role to close down Pirlo espically if he's picking the ball up deep and attemping to pull the strings.

I would play Matthews at right back because off his pace. Mulgrew would be giving the left back role because his set peice delivery is the best at the club by a country mile.

The two defensive midfielders to protect the back four would be the hardest choice. but throught sheer elimation Wanyama is the best at the club at the role. and Scott Brown because off his drive and will to win. Plus being captain of the team.

My two centre halfs would be Ambrose and Wilson. think it picks itself.

And last but not least Foster in goals.

    .............................................foster...........................................
    ................................ambrose............wilson.................................
    matthews........................................................................mulgrew
    ................................brown...............wanyama............................
    .............commons.............................................samaras..............
    ...............................hooper...............stokes...............................

Yes Stokes needs more playing time before then. Forrest unlucky not to be in that front four that can interchange. But hes a great weapon to bring of the bench to change things about.

Again Ledley and Kayal extremly unlucky not to get in also. But couldnt put them in ahead of Brown and Victor. But great options if needed.

Izzy and Lustig could be potential starters also that didnt make my team. Hard to leave them out espically Izzy because off the attacking option down lank.
