Benicassim is almost identical, except it's warm.

As far as i can remember the Stone Roses were the only band playing at T that id have liked to have seen. There were a good few at Benacassim playing that id loved to have seen, particularly Bob Dylan. The weather's an important aspect for me as well lol, been to many a t in the park where its pished it down constantly and still had a blast, but prefer it when its warm and sunny.

Seeing this line up is basically a reflection of what Oxegen will be so I'll be avoiding it, went once in 2008 just to see RATM and that did me.

Me and the lads are gonna head to Syndicate in Dortmund in October though.

t looks garbage unfortunatly, went to download festival last year for the first time not many of the bands were my cup of tea but Slash,Metallica,Sabbath were unreal and you dont get that chavy type camp shenanigans ,if i could recommend any festival it would be loawlands festival in holland, brilliant range of music, cleanest toilets ive seen, concrete walkways to all stages so you dont end up with mud upto your knees and the stages are under tents so you could stay dry and also you could spend a few days in amsterdam beforehand aswell! kings of leon and arcade fire were on after each other when i went, funnily enough the killers were there too , i watched two songs then went to the reggae tent instead

reckon ill hit download again for Iron Maiden next year!

You don't sound like the festival type!

T is about so much more than the line up, always get good general banter & an amazing 98 hours of madness!

    :50::50::50:

'Banter', 'fail' and 'epic' are horrendous words these days.

Anyway, if you're into Drum n bass, dubstep, dub, reggae etc then I highly recommend Outlook Festival in Croatia.....4 days of madness.

Probably the best festival I've been to except maybe Glastonbury last year but that was just because Wu Tang were playing.

Which is what they sell it on now to the point where the headliners are * dreadful populist *, yet tickets get more expensive every year.

    Seconded.

Not going this year. Been to T in the Park 9 times since 2001 but last year went to Benicassim. Much preferred Benicassim to be honest. We stayed in a Bungalow about a 20 minute walk to the festival. Everyday was scorching. Highlights were Example, Miles Kane, being right down the front for Noel Gallacher who's gig was amazing followed by the Stone Roses which was epic. Even though we were close to the front, you still had plenty of room and werent cramped in. The Festival is well layed out and everything about it was brilliant. Definately planning heading back again. Also with the festival running from 6pm-6am roughly you still get to the beach and that through the day.

Ive been a regular T goer as well but have always fancied Benicassim as you basically tie it in with a beach holiday. were the bungalows expensive? were they self catering yeah?
any more info would be great

Going to TITP this year, theres a lot in the lineup i would go and see so its worth it for me. hopefully the weather is like this!!!

not been since 2008, don't think I'd go back. Just can't be arsed with festivals anymore. Would prefer to just go on holiday now tbh.
But last time was class. Chemical Bros, RATM (couldn't believe I managed to see them), and Prodigy, but by that time I was burst and wasn't feeling too great.
Plus Rockness that year was the * as well.

The bands playing are * hacket, only ones id maybe consider are Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Frightened Rabbit from what i remember of the lineup, but even still id prefer seeing them at their own shows at the barras or something. Bought a sunday ticket but going purely for the slam tent.
