The Spanish superstar tunes in with the Kop as he shows his true colours.
Spanish whiz-kid Fernando Torres may have at last given us all a clue to where he may be playing come the start of next season.

The Athletico Madrid captain, reportedly a target for a host of European clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea, revealed the famous Liverpool slogan 'You'll Never Walk Alone' written behind his captain's armband in his side's 2-0 defeat at Real Sociedad at the weekend.

Quite how a captain can have an iconic motto for another team sewn behind the garment that signifies his leadership, allegiance and love for his club is beyond us. However, as Torres has stayed at Athletico since his boyhood days, withstanding offers thus far from much bigger clubs, we feel that in this case he may be excused, just this once!

If it is in fact meant to serve as a hint to where he would like his future to lie, then I'm sure it will be of great news to Rafa Benitez, who is likely to be already eagerly planning how to spend all the extra money available to him after the American takeover. Expect an explanation from somewhere over the coming days.

Can't see it happenin myself, BUT if it's true about the talks, then it does seem that the Celtic board are VERY SERIOUS about going further in the CL, which is always a good thing. I did hear however that there were going to be at least three absolutely HUGE signings in the summer, and only 1 or 2 are actually going to leave. One is definitely someone to partner JVOH, and the other is Stephen Appiah which is 100% complete, apparently.

aye but West Ham got fined millions because of the Tevez/Mascherano thing. The only reason they joined (probably) was the fact that they were getting two wages or something like that

 

They didnt propaly sign for west ham nd will be very unlikly that tevez will be there next season unless west ham try nd buy him of MSI

 

They got fined 5m but Tevez seems to be single handedly keeping them up and getting relegated from the EPL costs clubs something like 50m.

But Torres is one of the hottest properties in football, no way would he come to Scotland.

dream on 20 million if he cost that much me would be at a different club as I know he has a minimum release fee of 100 Million.

 

Minimum release clauses are mandatory in Spanish football. Every player has one and they are usually much higher than the player is worth
