Keep trying to re-assure yourself you've been relevant to football at any time, ever, you're like a rich version of Portsmouth and give it a couple of seasons of overspending to achieve nothing but absolute mediocrity and you won't even be that.

If we want him well sign him, I think were interested but he's not first choice so all the talk about him moving is a bit premature and from his agent to whip up interest. Naingollan and Banega are both vastly superior players

They wanted both hence why they bid for Hooper to keep them up , only them staying up meant they could sign Van Wolfswinkel due to Sporting being in debt plus Van wolf was joining in the summer it was already agreed up so why if he was first choice did they move for Hooper in jan ?

Your a plum mate,if it wasn't obvious before that you were on for a bite then it is this morning!

Your club was after commons that was turned down and was continually linked with hooper whilst adkins was in chare and you were told straight that he wouldn't be going anywhere...
Norwich have been in for him so many times they bid 3 or 4 times reportedly up to 7 mill or so in the January window and even had a helicopter in glasgow at the last minute incase it went through, not bad for a last resort ay

Highest English goal scorer in Europe last year sonny, don't let all the facts cloud your judgment though...
Trust me wanyama will be looking at southmapton as his last resort, only IF Liverpool and arsenal and these kind of big clubs aren't making concrete bids!

"As usual - it's all one big game isn't it?

Saints appear to be the ONLY club to have actually tabled a bid.

Celtic craftily release details to throw it out into the open & also add that we've had a bid accepted - alerting other clubs to hurry up & get in there with a bigger offer.

Wanyama goes public. Says Celtic have offer accepted... but he's going nowhere until he's talked to us about salary, terms, conditions, etc.

Celtic meanwhile are laughing & crossing their fingers that Arsenal or Liverpool get on the blower & at least match our offer... or increase it.

Wanyama issues "Saints offered me rubbish terms" statement - thus hoping the big boys come calling later today or tomorrow.

It's all about the £££ money £££. Nothing new there. The Premier League is swimming in money this season. Wanyama/Celtic know it - and want a bigger slice of the pie.

Move on Saints I say. Lovren was very happy to sign. I'm sure plenty of others will be too. We don't need greedy bastids here."

I love how they're trying to kid themselves on that 1. We even accepted their embarrassing bid. 2. Wanyama would even know what a "Southampton" was. And 3. They even had a chance of getting into negotiations with Wanyama.

    Deluded sailors :smiley-laughing002:

How much have you seen of Wanyama? How are 2 of our worst defenders in recent years getting on, Hooiveld & Fox? :56: They can't start many games for this fantastic Southampton side, can they? :smiley-laughing002:

If he goes I would much rather he went to the bundesliga than some insignificant soulless pub team like southampton FFS,mind you the hefty wage packet will make up for a relegation fight that would await him goin to them

See arrogant people like you are symptomatic of English fans. * wee non entity of a club who have bagged themselves a sugar daddy and all of a sudden you think you;re the dug baws.

I hope to * you fall flat on your face, get relegated and yer sugar daddy * off with his money and you slip back into obscurity.

nothing would make me happier and I will be watching with interest.

    ABS (anyone but southampton)

Cool well stick with signing Lovren, Banega and Osvaldo this summer. You enjoy pretending Arsenal want your best players before selling them to Cardiff lol

How would you know? You clearly hold Celtic in little regard so therefore i assume you won't have spent much time watching us play which means you won't have the faintest clue about big Victors qualities. On the other hand i do have a clue about them and also have seen Banega and Naingollan play as well. Banega is a different sort of midfielder to Victor, more of a playmaker whereas Victor is more of a defensive midfield enforcer(although he can do much more). Naingollan is simply not as good, not from what i've seen anyway.

The only one of those players that you have is Lovren - a man who has played 36 league games in the last TWO seasons. A player of no particular pedigree who plied his trade at a declining force in French football and gained only 17 caps in 4 years. Come back when you sign someone of Wanyama's calibre.

Maybe we should sell him for £5 million to Tottenham.

Seemed to work out well for you lot! Selling Bale for that much!

Ah, well it's only £85 million teams are weighing up bids for him. That's only an £80 million loss.
