he's our Irish Rover..oh Martin O'Neill oh Martin O'neill..i forgot the words :87:

MON's style is not enjoyable but the success he brings is. Until there is a better manager i want him to stay, however i wouldn't be as bothered if he went as i once would have been.

    ONE MON

If he's given a war chest to spend i think he could still do a job , but if he isn't , i think we need a change , he's no good in the bargin basement end of the market and he won't give youth a chance . sometimes his tactics are baffling

I personally wouldn't blame the man for walking away at the end of either this or next season, as i've said before what can he do with a team that's falling apart at the seams, and a board that either truly has no money to release or just has no ambition for the club because they are too busy lining their own pockets. I think MON would leave Celtic for any number of the top 5-6 clubs in either the EPL or Europe.

    Martin O'Neil please stay

I think it all boils down to the ammount of war chest he gets from the board. Lets face it most other decent managers are tied up, plus they will only go to clubs that are prepared to spend money. The likes of Moyes and Mogga are up and coming managers who have yet to prove their true worth. Big Mick could maybe do a job, but I think he is happy where he is for now.

We don't want to end up with anbody third rate if MON goes. Personnaly I hope he stays, he's still a lot to do and could achive that ambition with financial support.Hail, Hail :yeah:

Therein lies the problem though is there any financial support available to him at Celtic, right now it certainly isn't looking like it, I'll give O' Neill one more season at best, then I think he'll be off.

I'm from Holland , and that rumour is pretty strong, although Co Adriaanse (the AZ manager ) himself hasn't said anything about it ..
but lets all hope MON will stay!

AZ Alkmaar coach Co Adriaanse has claimed that he has been contacted by Celtic.
Despite a brilliant season with AZ, Adriaanse is leaving Alkmaarder Hout in the summer and Louis van Gaal has already been confirmed as his successor.
A host of clubs are known to be keen and he has been linked with a wide range of jobs from Porto and Cologne, to West Ham and Portsmouth.
He actually had talks with Porto and Cologne, but now he claims contact has been made with Celtic - although they are yet to get back to him.
Asked if he had sorted a deal with the Portuguese or German clubs, he said: "No, also not with Celtic.
"Sometimes a club is interested, then you don't hear anymore," he told Het Noord-Hollands Dagblad.
During AZ Alkmaar's Uefa Cup clash with Rangers earlier this season, Adriaanse admitted he would like to coach one of the Old Firm.
The news of Celtic contacting Adriaanse is sure to further strain relations between Martin O'Neill and the Parkhead hierarchy.
O'Neill has been constantly linked with a move back to England over the last 18 months, but he has always stated he was happy with life in Glasgow.

AZ Alkmaar coach Co Adriaanse has moved to play down media reports linking him with the manager's job at Scottish giants Celtic.

The Dutch coach is leaving the Alkmaarder Hout at the end of the season despite a hugely successful season with AZ that has seen them progress to the Uefa Cup semi-finals and fly high in the Eredivisie.

He is to be replaced by Louis van Gaal and has since held talks with German outfit Cologne and Portuguese giants Porto but has denied that Celtic have been in touch, stating that he may even be without a club next season.

Adriaanse told Dutch newspaper AD Sportwereld: "Celtic are a very nice club but I haven't signed anything. But it is very possible that I won't have a club next season.

"I am very happy that I will have a contract as an analyst for Channel Tien next season."

Channel Tien are a new Dutch television station that have secured the rights to show Eredivisie matches next season.

    MON's going nowhere this summer.

You can't say something like that without giving us a replacement..........a realistic one.
