Well we did on average pay under £1million each for them and they were playing against Alba, Mascherano, Song, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Villa, Pedro etc

Take it that's you sobered up? :56::56::56:

Aye - did OK, but nowhere near 8's.

Hooper hardly had a sniff the whole game - regardless of whether he was playing Barca or not.

Its not hoopers fault he didnt get the ball. What he did when he did getbthe ball he did well. Held the ball up well and some great runs and passes. A couple of better balls to him and who knows what might have happened

He got a 6, if you click on the yellow bar at the top and zoom in you can see them a bit better.

I never said it was Hooper's fault - he was left with little/no service when Samaras went off.

I would say he had about a few good passes and runs - other than that his hold up play looked lethargic and unbalanced, as was his passing in general.

Hooper was guff last night but it was never going to be his type of match. I'd say a 6 is about right for him.

I think I agree with that. It really came down to our central defense. Just awesome last night. All I'd disagree with would be Forster. He's definitely a 9 or 10 with me.

No Celtic player could possibly be described as 'guff'.

Hooper was starved of service but guff he certainly was not.

Really think you are not giving enough credit to Wanyama, i thought he was up there with Ambrose and Forster with his performance last night.

I thought 6 was a fair number for Wanyama - made a few good tackles when on the defensive, but like the rest of the midfield trio of Mulgrew, himself and Ledley - they were non-existant.

Now - I realise that they were up against the best midfielders in team football and they had next to no chance of making an impact - and that's why I have not been slightly sycophantic in my views.

    Their midfield destroyed us 100%.

Goalkeeper, Lustig, Ambrose and Wilson were our shining stars last night - and obviously Samaras.

Forster - 9 (Class the whole game)
Lustig - 7 (Was good defensively)
Ambrose - 8 (Class the whole game)
    Wilson - 7 (Solid)
Izaguirre - 7 (Didn't seem out of his depth, played solid in defence)
Brown - 8 (Player very well until he got subbed)
Wanyama - 7 (Garbage first half, big improvement 2nd)
Ledley - 6 (Made a couple of good tackles but he didn't perform as well as he's capable of)
Mulgrew - 5 (Not his best game)
Samaras - 8 (Got the goal and played OK before he was injured)
Hooper - 6 (Lacked support, made a good few switches though when he got a chance the 2nd half)

Forrest - 3 (Lazy and at fault for the goal but he's young)
Kayal - 4 (Didn't do much when he came on)
Commons - 6 (Came on and made a few good passes and nearly created a chance for Hooper)

    For me.

Agree with the top one. :icon_mrgreen:

Forster - 10 Couldn't have asked for anything more from him. Amazing
Lustig - 8 Great peformance. couple of poor touches.
Ambrose - 9 Outstanding. What a buy he might turn out to be.
Wilson - 8 Fantastic performance. Valiant effort.
Izaguirre - 8 Very composed, maybe too much at times. Needs to just punt the ball out more.
Wanyama - 8 Brilliant, heroic performance. His attacking play wasn't so good though.
Brown - 8 Played through an injury, lead the team excellently. Never stopped working.
Ledley 9 - His passing and attacking play was excellent as was his relentless defending.
Samaras 9- Won almost every header when the ball was hoofed to him. Scored the goal.
Mulgrew - 7 Didn't think he had his best game. A bit sloppy. Very good performance nonetheless.
Hooper - 6 Through no fault of his own. He was very isolated and didn't play a big part in the match

Forrest 7 - thought he was excellent when he came on.
    Commons 6 - Didn't do much.
Kayal 7 - battled well when he came on.
