    It's just sausage. Any roll van or shop I've been to gives you a square slice if you ask for a roll 'n' sausage. If you want links you have to specify that.

    I have never had a square piece of ' square sausage ' honestly :smiley-laughing002: always been rectangle shaped when i've had it.

    is 'slice' an east coast thing? i reckon 'square' is the glasgow/west name for it.

    I don't think so,Greenock and some of the surrounding areas are the only places I've ever really heard it called slice.

    They don't half shrink in the pan. I've never cooked a square slice before because I prefer links but I love my da's stewed sausage done with steak square slice.

    In Canada I think you can ask for either a square or lorne and they would know, but I know it as a lorne. It must have HP sauce not brown, like my mustard has to be French's.
