I have an item that belongs to the TalkCeltic Charity Committee,it appears to be the autographs of players from the 30's,has Jimmy McGrory,James McStay and a host of others.....will need to get it authenticated but from searching online it looks like it's the real deal....unsure how to go about getting it checked out.

If it is the cover that is on the link that is the copy you have then its not an original. The proper cover has no picture on it and the inside page has a photo of Maley and an (printed) autograph. It was about 3 years ago I found the valuation (from Amazon I think) so it may have changed.

Oh right, think it may have a cover but can't remember. Have loads of old Celtic books and a collection of over 1,000 programmes from all loads of different teams and internationals but mostly Celtic. Don't drive and don't really have room in my house at the moment or would bring them all over.

Need to sort it all out and sell the stuff on, just sitting gathering dust in my old room and my mum keeps threatening to bin them :icon_mrgreen:

Impressive page Marie and from looking at other signatures from some of the names online I'd be fairly certain what you have is 100% genuine.

Definitely going to give Celtic a call and see if they can authenticate it, it's pretty small 4" x 3" just like a card.

Mad how you can actually make out who they signatures belong to. You see them now and it just looks like a squiggle.

Pretty sure my dad has an old caricature picture of the 1970 european cup final team signed by them all. Think they were meant to do a signing if they won the cup but still went trough with the signing and hardly anybody turned up so he got to chat to them for ages.

Don't know if this would really come under memorabilia but my late grandfather gave me old newspapers, wee red books, programmes, tickets, and such years ago. Thought it was pretty cool looking back on some of Celtic's best years. Got 2 polybags worth of stuff.

A mate of mine, a Killie fan and related to one of the Lions, has an original colour team photo with every one of the '67 Big Cup Winners autographs on the back. not sure if Big Jock's is there. I always try, after a few beers in his house, to take the photo and look after it. It's magic even to see.:shamrock:
