You dont get that kind of money for midfielders who cant pass a ball. Add to that how many times he is caught on the wrong side of the ball and his daft tackles and yellow cards. All problems in his game that he hasnt improved on but for some reason most on here dont seem to pick up on. I heard last week he wouldnt have looked out of place in the barca team?? Probably right because he passed to them all night a couple of weeks ago.

    Haha. You realise he's 21?

Tom Cleverly 23. Anderson 24. I just see the guy being destined for the top. He can only improve. So much power and strength. Anyone would love him in their Midfield.

What have they got to do with Wanyama?? Cleverly can pass a ball and Anderson cant get a regular game for man utd and he is a far better player than Wanyama. Being 21 doesnt excuse your faults. You will only get big money if you can improve on those faults and he hasnt.

You're right about him picking up silly bookings, but that'll improve as he gains more experience. The lad's only 21, it's not as if he's the finished article... Can't say I agree about the passing. We should get around £10-12m for him. We've already rejected a £10m bid from QPR and his stocks rising by the day.

Firstly Jordan Henderson plays in the premiership so prices are inflated as we all know. Couple of stats from his last season playing for Sunderland which led to his big money move.

"Henderson succeeded with 1,334 - 81 per cent - of his 1,643 attempted passes last season. He enjoyed the highest success of any Sunderland player and had most touches (2,493) "

"The 20-year-old created 82 chances last season, putting him fourth in the League for midfielders and top for those playing centrally (only Florent Malouda, Kevin Davies, Chris Brunt and Stewart Downing created more). "

Thats what led to his big money move. Whats Wanyama done to demand such a high price tag?? Scored a few goals in the SPL ? Get a yellow card every second game?

The same bid that was about £5m in the summer is now all of a sudden £10m ?? If we got a bid of £10m we would bite the arm of them.

Wanyama is brilliant but his passing is far from a 20 million plus midfielder, lot of kids get a bit too wet for some of our players, me thinks

    Breaking News:

Celtic have just completed the transfer of Lionel Messi although our football source mfisher tells Sun Sport "He's pish. He can't head a ball and he is physically too weak for the british game. Crosses are wasted on him and he dives better than Tom Daley."

Do you have a quote or link to it being as low as £5m?

No but i remember the "alleged bid at the time being £5/6m tops". if we were bid £10m Lawell would have had him down there pronto.

I very much doubt we'd let him go for £5/6m. EPL clubs will pay stupid money for players nowadays and Wanyama will go for £10m+. I'm very sure of that.

I don't believe for a second we were offered 10 mil for wanyama in the summer, if its true he would have been off like a rocket down there no doubt.
10 million is the kind of value we would sell any of our players for.

Of course, we would have bit the hand of anyone who offered that kind of money.

hes playing against top teams now, whatever price was put against him in the summer is doubled by appearing in the champions league, hes a still maturing player and had barcelona and spartak under control?
