Sorry Waterford but you are talking crap there. Dublin can be described as the same as Donegal in that they are fit and well drilled. They to only have a handful of good players. I have always wondered how well they would perform against the Armagh or Tyrone teams between 2000-2005

hmmmm, this Donegal team is capable of being one of the greats of football IMO,
they have only missed 3 wides in ulster yet, 1 against Tyrone and 2 against Down, that is an unbeliveable conversation rate.
Dont think Ulster is weak, still considered the hardest province to win.

Well thankfully we were both wrong about the Dublin Kilkenny hurling replay. A huge result not just for Dublin obviously but to open up the hurling championship race altogether as Tipperary now meet Kilkenny in the qualifiers. With Dublin moving on to the Leinster final against Galway. Leinster have not won a Leinster hurling title since 1961.

sorry but I don't think I am, they have a huge underage pedigree, they have consistently been winning or at least getting to minor and u21 all Irelands over say the last 5 years, look at the players Dublin have been without this year so far, alan brogan, bryan Cullen, kevin Nolan (motm in 2011 AI Final) look at the younger players that they have brought in since that all Ireland win, paul mannion, jack mccaffrey, Ciaran Kilkenny, all 20 years or under, theres a few more also, I think this years Dublin team is better than the team that won the AI 2 years ago, then they were very reliant on Bernard brogan that year, he has been off form since 2011. Dublin have serious footballers all over the field, they play an attacking game, they don't have to rely on getting men behind the ball or crowding out teams, yes they are super fit and well drilled but the best form of defence is attack is it not? the dubs beat Kildare last sunday by 16 points, Kildare are as good if not better than both tyrone and down who Donegal have beaten thus far.

that was the first replay Kilkenny have lost since 1985 which is a massive record. you could see how Kilkenny are reliant on shefflin, who dragged them to last years all Ireland and also Michael fennelly who destroyed tipp in the league final. even looking at cody he looks a bit shook since his heart op. if Kilkenny lose on Saturday id expect cody and shefflin at least to call time. but id never right off the cats.
tipp on the other hand have a lot to make up for since limerick beat them, they've had time to prepare, this will be kilkennys 3rd cship game in as many weeks.
id expect a younger and fresher tipp to win.
leinster final is hard to call, who knows what galway side will show up on sunday, they were poor so far this year, as they were at this stage last year till they blew Kilkenny away in the leinster final. Dublin may find it difficult to scale the same heights as the last 2 weeks, but they have a great chance. if I had to call it id say galway.

You talk a lot of sense there. All any team than want to win an all Ireland need to do is work a little harder on their fitness.

Outside of Leinster apart from 2011 what have Dublin done.

The Tyrone team of the last decade were slated by the same people who now slate Donegal as being too defensive. It seems the rest of Ireland always moan when Ulster team do well.

it was obviously a good performance and they will take encouragement from that but a loss is a loss, would have been the biggest shock in years had Waterford won, but to be honest I think the result says more about galway than it does Waterford.

my own county are going to galway on Saturday, they will get a hiding, Kerry gave them a hiding in the munster cship, I don't see where the benefit is to Waterford football and the players deserve better themselves too.

:50: Thats what you said earlier in the weeik, now i know it might have been a very slack Galway performance, but surely that had be a massive confedince boost to Waterford football, it just goes to show that even the weakest counties can pull of shock results even if they didnt just manage it.

Devastated Down fan. I think the structure of the championship needs looked at. heard the Idea of a champions league type of format being thrown about. would see all teams get 6 games! Down and Derry should not have been able to draw each other again and at the same venue. Ill be supporting an Ulster team...come on Donegal!

:bbpd: Too good pal. Nah you're right, Down fully deserved the victory at Celtic Park, it just seems stupid that then Derry go into the qualifiers and meet Down again and this time we knock you out. Does need looked at.
