3IAR & 2Xlast 16s, won't argue that WGS didn't know his job, under him we knew how to win. Not always pretty though.

My memories of Strachan were after winning the League, he took the kids out of the crowd and got a player to take them around the pitch hand in hand, he never forgot the backroom staff either. He always had time to chat, pose for photos & sign autographs in my experience. He seems a genuine nice man.

As for not being "Celtic minded", one of the strengths of CFC is being able to take a person with no link to them and leaving them with a lifetime love of the club. May that never change.

I thought it was absolutely bang on the money as well and the only people who took offence obviously saw something of themselves in it.

If you watch the difference between the way Strachan speaks about Celtic (with passion, enthusiasm and positivity) and the way someone like Charlie Nicholas speaks about Celtic (relentlessly negative, with disdain) it really is night and day.

:50: Champagne Charlie can be diffident at times alright, Burley and Provan are tubes, the way the talk about the club.

WGS got stick for not being Celtic minded: but gave 100% of what HE thought was right for us, and gave two fingers to the critics, (inside and outside Celtic park) who evenutally shoe-horned him out, but he never bowed, or gave them the road.

That takes, balls, style and the courage of your convictions.

If that doesnt make you a Celtic Man then I don't know what does.

Love Gordon, granted in his fourth season i wasn't a happy chappy with the way we lost the league but i cannot argue with what he brought to the club.

Amazing that he won 3iar and last 16CL twice all during a huge budget squeeze by the board. During his four years in charge we cut something like 20-30 million off of our debt, due to strachan taking us into europe.

That Spartak Moscow tie was one of the most exhilarating heart attack inducing game i have ever seen.

Our football under Tommy Burns was beautiful - scintillating at times - yet his reign delivered only one trophy.

Strachan's 'awful play' was infinitely more effective, and successful.

What a game, literally had everything.

Some of my best memories of supporting Celtic were during his time here, and that's certainly right up there with the best of them.

Loved Gordon Strachan when he was manager and the brilliant job he did for us. I agree at times the football wasn't great but considering the massive cost cutting and total team rebuilding he had to do right away when he came in I thought he did a great job for us.
Now I love listening to him not just bcause he usually has positive things to say about Celtic but because the guy comes over as completely genuine and someone who is his own man and has time for the average guy out there. Kind of reminds me of John Hartson in that respect.

Total respect and proud for what he did for us but the football was a bit sore on the eye at times.

Since he has left my respect has grown as he is one of the few "non Celtic minded" who constantly talks us up and is forever praising us.

Heard him on the highlights show for the champions league last weekend and when watching Sammy's goal he said something along the lines of "big Sammy nods the winner for us ! ". Still refers to Celtic as "us". Brilliant wee guy who was brilliant for us and always talks so highly of us given any opportunity !

Love Strachan, his way with the media, the success he brought us, the football we played and the way he talks of us now.

I just think some people never got over two things, the loss of MON and the Artmedia loss.

Actually I think we got over both of them. What people haven't got over was our throwing away the title in the last season, from being 7 points clear at the turn of the year to losing the title by 4 points, and playing towards the end where we didn't look like winning games, and every game was the same, just huffing and puffing with no end result, hence the fact that the games were so dull and so unmemorable.
