I've asked this before but I'm in the position now where I can start putting the wheels in motion.

I came up to Celtic Park for the Celtic Norwich game in the summer and I've been keeping up to date with the league games etc.

I REALLY want to come up Celtic Park for a league game (saturday ideally) and I have a few questions:

    a) how easy is it to get from Glasgow airport to CP?
b)would it be easier to avoid getting accomodation in Glasgow and just get straight off the plane on the saturday morning and then head back again after the game (relates to question a) i suppose)
c)Do I need to be a Celtic member to get tickets?

    Cheers guys! HH

    A) It's not that easy tbh, the transport links to Glasgow airport are awful considering its the busiest airport. Best bet may well be getting a taxi to the stadium from the airport, or a bus into the city centre. If you go into the city centre first, you can get the train from central out to dalmarnock/bridgeton station - both about 10 minute walk from Celtic Park. Otherwise you could walk, it's about half an hour along the gallowgate to the stadium - just follow all the Celtic pubs!

    B) Suppose it depends on money, getting a taxi after the game at the ground is impossible so you'll need to head back into the city centre, either by train or walking again. Depends on what time the flight home is, staying in a hotel will be around 40 quid probably so upto you really.

    C) Getting a ticket will be no problem - can buy them here:

    https://www.eticketing.co.uk/celtic/default.aspx

You can also print your ticket at home as has been mentioned.

    Thanks for the advice guys.

I think the best thing to do would be put a weekend aside (when Norwich arent playing at home would be the best bet haha) and then come up for the friday and saturday nights.

I've seen that there's a home game against Ross County on December 22 and Motherwell on Jan 2nd. Mid to late december/early January would be ideal.

Definitely come up for the weekend and if you look at Premier Inn or Laterooms.com you are bound to find something decent cheap at that time of the year.

One word of warning is it could be very cold at that time, it does take alot for games to get called off up here but 2 seasons ago at that time it was Baltic and one game did get postponed at Parkhead and another that did go ahead was about -10 from memory

Very unlikely it'll be called off at Parkhead - a home game hasn't been called off for weather in years!

When I arrive in Glasgow Airport, I normally take the First’s Glasgow Shuttle to the city centre.

If you go straight to the game, it is best to get off at George Square (if you wait till the end, you end up in Buchanan Bus Station, which is a wee bit further from Celtic Park).

You can walk from George Square to Celtic Park in about 40 minutes.

You can also take a train from Queen Street (which is very close to George Square) to Bellgrove which takes you a bit closer to the ground.

Be aware that games might change dates and that kick-off might be earlier than 3pm (it could be around noon), so you might consider booking a Saturday morning flight (as early as possible) and a Sunday evening one (as late as possible) to return.

Tickets should not be a problem (use the print at home option if you have a printer).
