    It does indeed, the only thing i pray for is for what we are doing to pay dividends and show the big spenders they're doing it wrong. I both sickens and disgusts me at the same time the fee's paid out these days and the wages spent. Football needs a wake up call, following teams like Celtic, Benfica and allot of the Swiss/Belgian teams are going the right way about it. Search for the up and coming players, take the risk and build a team. Makes success much more enjoyable if or when it happens, rather than multi billionaires buying football teams and use them like they have a cheat on Football Manager.

    Just look at Liverpool for example. Henderson, Downing and Borini alone probably cost them between 40-50m alone and they were beaten at home by Udinese.

    We played well in both games against Udinese spending a fraction of that on our entire squad and with a bit of luck, could have won both games. Our performances in Italy and France a year ago probably helped give the team confidence for the away games this season.

    Completely agree. There's a refreshing amount of sense being talked on this thread, not only in terms of Celtic but how football in general can be improved.

    I'm happy with the way things are. In the past, we've wasted money on players, e.g Bangura, Fortune, and as it stands, the majority of these young lads we are bringing in are turning out to be good, why change?

    would be nice to go sign a jelavic for 4 million , but then again 4 or 5 mill doesnt guarantee quality these days , case in point bangura , fortune ...we are never going to sign a ten million pound player but we can create one.

    I'm probably a bit longer in the tooth than many of you but can anyone remember ten big money signings in the history of the club who have been a huge success and value for money?The only era i can think of where we made several big money signings and they were a big success was MON's time.

    why waste 10mil on a good player... when u can get Hooper, ledley, matthews, Moravcik, Larsson etc for less.
