Gordon Strachan Towards Interviewers

it sounds like he has run himself ragged and starting to feel mentally drained from what he is doing on a daily basis

 

i think thats why he took a year out of football coz he needed a wee rest, apparently wgs doesnt like the fan mentality and cant hack the pressure, so i dont think he will get sacked, if anything he will walk away if its too much

 

He's not embarrassing the club either. All my friends who support clubs other than 'tic like Strachan because they think he's funny. There aren't many personalities in management these days, which is why so many people * that Mourinho *.

 

We've all seen Strachan be funny and witty during pre/post match interviews but today made for cringe worthy viewing and he also made himself look a * in to the bargain......

I couldn't care less if he doesn't like journalists or their interviews or questions.....When your Manager of a world famous team, people expect you to conduct yourself in a professional manner.....He was getting asked simple questions that anyone could have dealt with but instead he chucks his toys out the pram and dictates what the interview should be about.....

I like the guy but sometimes his arrogance and cockyness during interviews makes for uncomfortable viewing and when he's not doing that, he's looking in to space with a "why the * am i here?" look on his face then acts huh......whu.......you talking to me????

Sort it out Strachan because your starting to look like your losing the plot

he doesn`t conduct himself the way a celtic manager should, he was funny but that was a red neck the other day maybe if he gave us some answers like ,.. why doesn`t he play tommy?.... why did he sign doumbe ? etc....

 

What is it with all of you people? Wgs has the RIGHT to bam the media up if he wants and all this * about "we as fans deserve to know about these things" (when he was asked bout boruc) yesterday was about the semi final so whats wrong with that? theres a time and place for certain questions from the media and minutes after qualifying for the cup final is NOT the time to be askin bout transfer speculation so get of the wee guys back.

He has led us to the last 16 of the CL we are winning the , sorry have won , the league albeit stumbling against mediocre teams but you have still got to beat whats in front of you and of course we are in the final with a very good chance of winning. So wgs doesnt like the media - SO *!!!
I dont like them and actually enjoy watchin him rip the * out of them for their stupid and unnescesary questions and wish more managers would take a leaf out of his book.

As a celtic fan i cant beleive the amount of people slating the manager for the way he conducts himself in front of the media vultures who someone said are "just doin their job" yeah so were the waffen ss so does that means its ok? NO it doesnt the * in the media SHOULD have been talkin bout the semi final (which i thought we were very poor by the way) and about the title run in and cup final. PLAYERS CONTRACTS ARE PERSONAL CONTRACTS BETWEEN THE PLAYER ,HIS AGENT (scum) AND THE CLUB AND WE DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW as some fool said.
WGS has done well in the job so far and as ive said before when we start to lose the league ,not win any cups and not qualify for europe then i will stop backin him up. we arent doin too bad although we arent playing brilliant football all the time but we ARE winning things and we have made it to the last 16 of cl so STOP * MOANIN about how he conducts himself with the media this is a results business and we are winning 9 times out of ten (ok drawing a few) but ive said it b4 and im going to say it again if you are old enough to have gone through and understood what it was like when the huns were doin 9 in a row then you should be ashmed of yourself to come on here to moan about the manager cos he doesnt like the media.

Cos if all we have to moan about as celtic fans is the way strachan talks to the media (who are mostly huns anyway and deserve all the contempt dished oot) then i am a happy celtic supporter . Comprende??????

Its such a stupid thing to be mad about. This should be the least of our worries with the form we're on.

 

One of the few sensible posts on here. FFS the guy has led us to back to back championships, a cup final, last 16 of the CL and while having to work within some financial constraints.

He may not be everyone's cup of tea and im also in agreement with some views about his selections but ffs i think the guy does not deserve some of the rants going on here.

Calling for his head is absolutely unbelievable and quite frankly embarassing.

 

we don't know what he is like in the dressing room, he might be the best thing since sliced bread in there. lets give the guy a break and just see how things when the season has ended.

 

I for one like the way he treats the press. They hate him and he hates them. He doesnt need 2 give the media in Scotland anything cos they will likely twist his words anyway

SAF and Mourniho tells it the way it is,, whats the problem, maybe we can get Social worker to do the job... His remit is to get results, and he is doing that , remember bookies paid out last fecken year, when did that last happen

 

Strachan is perfectly entitled to have a low personal opinion of the media. But the bottom line is that as Celtic manager you have to deal with them. That is part of his job and it would be better for the club if he did so in a professional manner. He comes across as a guy with a massive chip on his shoulder.

 

The media were told before the interview that WGS would not answer any questions about transfer speculation because it was just that SPECULATION!
Why should any professional person go on live TV and answer questions that have no sustenance or relevance to the topic of conversation i.e. the cup semi final.

No manager at any pre match or post mach interview really tells us anything that we don’t already know or could have figured out for our self.

 

Put it this way if we play like this next season we will get beat more oftne than not, then every1 wil say its time for him to go but it will be to late!

 

its the journalists' job to ask these questions. they are answering them on OUR behalf. how many of us will ever get to meet strachan and ask him all these questions that we have been discussing on talkceltic for the past few months? things like 'why is riordan not playing? 'why is graveson getting left out of the team?' 'what is the future for jarosik and miller? et cetera...

we all want these questions answered, and as the club's supporters, we have the right to find the true answer.

Everyone knows this its a blip and WGS doesnt have to tell us everything (whats to say Deeks didnt pick up an injury) would we want the world to know this when there is another game this week ????
