Since he took over i have much more positive feel to the path we are taking. Promising young signings, a massive feel of unity between fans and manager. Success on the field aswell as off. He has a undoubted loyalty to celtic. Could lenny go all the way and be our longest serving manager. As long as we keep going like this i cannot see why not?

It would be a miracle considering our longest serving manager is Willie Maley.

    If you know your history...

Hahaha, Willie Maley beaten?! Lennon would be well in to his 80s!

    16 SPLs / 14 Scottish Cups....

Hrmm. To answer the question - "no"

Lenny will be here a while yet! :50:

Just not as long as Willie Maley surely! No one will ever beat that imo

I dont think so, in this day and age Players and Managers are constanly on the move and looking for bigger and better things there is not much loyalty in football anymore gone are the days were a player would be play for one team all his career.

I also think that Lenny would like a crack at the english premiership

Even if we only take into account post-war managers, it is highly unlikely in this day and age. McGrory was manager for 20 years. However, it is very likely that Lennon will win more trophies than McGrory as manager.

No. Maley would take some beating. Doubt it will be beaten at all tbh especially these days.

He might be here for a while but will never equal or surpass Maley.

Lets see how he does over the next couple of years

Absolutely no chance whatsoever. Modern football is far too fickle. There's every chance Lennon himself will want a new challenge at some point. Just one unsuccessful season is enough for some fans to start calling for him to be sacked.

Pretty pointless thread, to be fair. Lennon is not going to be manager at Celtic for 43 * years.

If he does well, especially in Europe then other clubs may eventually approach him in time. If he has a season or two without winning the league then there will be calls for him to step down or be sacked.

I would be surprised to see any manager stay with us for even as long as a decade.

Maley will never be surpassed there.

Might become the second longest though.

I reckon if we win the league for the next few years (which we should), Lenny will want a crack at doing 10 in a row. Then he'll leave.

No chance. Maley was manager for over 40 years. Couple with this the nature of football management (and the culture of professional football itself) has changed massively in the 70+ years since Maley completed his tenure as manager.

I have no idea and if he does then I probably won't be around to see it anyway.
