    No.

He definitely is slower than what he once was, clearly has been for me since that * of an injury.

I've said it numerous times before but we should be looking to bring someone in younger and faster to slowly replace Izaguirre.

I'm quite happy for him to continue to operate in there but he is 29(?) now I think and he will decline even further in the next couple year IMO.

Not saying that because of tonight either, I think it would be a good idea. Even someone to just challenge him..he has the free run in there.

It's pretty ridiculous that he's had no competition for the left back position since we signed him.

How many times does he lunge in and kick the ball in to harms way with his right foot? It looks so amateurish when he does it.
Shaqiri in the second half, one touch on the halfway line and he left Izzy for dead, when he got back he made fuckall attempt at putting a block in and Gordon had to pull off quite a good save, was alright when he was booting shaqiri right in front of the linesman giving away a free kick though..

    So erratic at times..

In Europe he gets caught out defensively, not in one on one situations, he's quite solid there but any diagonal balls/balls over the top he's usually out of position or ball watching. Should have went with Shaquiri for the first goal, he could see the run and the pass being played and wasn't picking anyone up himself.

He's good going forward though in my opinion and his crossing isn't as bad as people say, doubt we could get much better on our budget.

Him or guidetti worst on the park. No threat at all going forward and was playing as third center back giving guarin and shaqiri acres of space. So over rated by some its amazing.

You miss the 40 yard cross field pass to GMS?

Ronny said at the start the fullbacks would need to be a little more conservative tonight but we all know that's not in Izzys nation.

I agree though with most he was pretty rotten tonight.

Yet again, pish in Europe. When will people realise he just isn't very good?

    Really need another left back.

I thought that he actually played lot better after the red card - wasn't hard though - was making tackles & stops, especially in 2nd half.

He ranges from unplayable to disastrous.

Tonight he was *, and last week he wasn't much better. Disappointing Izzy

What game were you guys watching? Izzy was immense. He literally made more tackles and interceptions than any player on the park.

He got caught out of position once or twice before the red but after that he defended superbly. Obviously he wasn't going to get forward in a game like this.

Gordon MOTM, obviously, but Izzy not far behind

Izzy is probably the most divisive figure on this forum. I thought he was pretty good and think he's generally one of our most consistent performers. Competition for the LB position would do him good though.

Don't want to be negative, but he could have done better on the goal.

Well again hate to moan but he could have stepped out and challenged the guy running in to a shooting position.

I know you don't like me but that would be basic defending.

And basic supporting Celtic would take the more positives out of the game, but you've choose to single out a left back for a screamer of a goal,oh and who says I don't like you atleast you go against the grain :50:
